Highland Walk review II
Greens have healed from aeration, fairways are great and staff is very friendly and professional.
Well kept
Beautiful golf course. Friendly staff. LOTS of hills. Not a course you want to walk. Greens were slow the day we played. Well kept course and phacilities
Great Experience
I was very impressed with this course. Being my first time playing here, I appreciated the well marked hole signs and cart path signage. Fairways, greens and tee boxes were in very good condition. Course layout was very interesting and playable. I will be back!
Sweet course
Staff was great!! Facilities were nice. They round was great and the day was beautiful. The greens were so nice.
Great round at Highland Walk
Great staff and the course was in great shape other than the greens had been aerated this past Monday. The layout is beautiful and challenging. Great course overall.
Great round on one of the top state park courses
The course is in tremendous shape, probably the best I have seen it in the 5-6 years I’ve played here. Pace of play was a bit slow but to be expected for a holiday weekend. Will definitely be playing again soon.
A gem of a course
Very nice & well maintained state park golf course. Enjoyed my first round.
Excellent Course!
This is an excellent course for all skill types! It is also part of one of Georgia’s beautiful state parks, so there’s other things to be done such as camping. This is what I consider my home course, even though I don't necessarily live in the area. You won’t be disappointed in this course!
Hidden Gem in Royston
Highland seems to be a hidden gem. The course conditions are excellent and if you can find a hot deal, you can get in under $30, sometimes even under $20 during the week. The course is definitely a little challenging; I've played here three times now and have thoroughly enjoyed each time.
Not for beginners.
If you are a beginning golfer I suggest going somewhere else. My family and I were camping at Victoria Bryant and I tbought that it would be a great change from our normal camping. My children strike the ball well. It only took us getting to the second green before someone came to me asking us to leave that we were playing to slow. The staff did offer a fill discount which was fine with me. I have heard alot of great things about the course. The members I found out are obnoxious little people. I will not return and will advise against it.
Hidden gem
I have played probably 75% of the Robert Trent Jones trail courses between Alabama and Georgia. This course ranks way up on the same level as those courses. Super maintained. Tea boxes are gorgeous. Greens were great. Easy to read lots of grain not much not much roll to the brakes but really just outstanding course. Fareways beautiful shape. My only down would be a par 3 where I hit it really fat and the ball was gone in the fairway because they kept the grass really high but it was my fault not the courses fault.
