Beautiful and challenging
I played with my wife on 8/21/21
Course was pristine, weather perfect and some views on the ocean outstanding . Course if challenging to play though with long par 3 et par 5 up hills .
You want to find a discounted price on tee-off.com as regular price are way too high.
Great experience.
August
It’s worth the money for the scenery,. The golf course is well maintained but not top shelf. Afternoon tee time made pace of play wonderful. We will do it again
Great views
Awesome course design with fantastic ocean views. Fairways in excellent condition; greens were average. Overall great experience.
Mauna Lani vs. Mauna Kea
Mauna Kea - No way. There was no competition, Lani killed it in every way. Mauna Kea left a lot to be desired including conditions of the course, friendliness of Staff, availability of of Food and beverage options. Sure they had a cart put and about but we only saw her on the second hole and the 18th hole. To make matters worse - no snack bar at the turn.
I would not recommend a round at Kea but I do highly recommend Mauna Lani - excellent all the way around.
Mauna Kea - Checked off bucket list.
Course was fantastic and in great shape. Taylor Made rentals were good quality. Starter went out of his way to help me pair up with another single. Drove forward and asked him to wait on second tee. Made my experience much better as he was a good companion and we got along great. Highly recommend!
Beautiful course
This is a spectacular course Extremely well maintained. It’s a difficult layout. Challenging. We did have 20 + knot winds for most of the round which added to the difficulty. There are significant elevation changes. Undulating, split level greens One par three over the ocean shot. It’s such a picturesque place!
Staff was great. Amenities? It is still just a weird pandemic lack of stuff that is usually there situation. This place is worth the money. Highly recommend.
Fun Course
Mauna Kea is a must play for any avid golfer visiting. You can find cheap rates on golf now on any day. No need to book too far in advance. The course is in good, not great shape. You'll find tidier and harder courses in the states, but not necessarily ones more fun or beautiful.
Outstanding course
I can see why it’s been consistently a top course in the world. Beautiful views and course conditions were perfect. Nice layout. Challenging but fair. I played on a Hot deal so value was excellent.
Hawaii
A plus all the way. Challenging golf course with excellent views. The best of Hawaii.
Beautiful Course - Quintessential Hawaii
This course is beautifully laid out with stunning views over the ocean. The approach to the greens are difficult and carefully created with many angles and rolling hills. My only disappointment was the condition of the greens. They were planted with different varieties of grass which made the putting less predictable. Overall it’s a course that is a “must play”!
Great Course
Has to be the most beautiful course I played, You could easily play a PGA tournament on this course. Some of the many bunkers need a little work.
