Only complaint would be that the sand traps have no sand. They have crushed lava and stone.

Well kept course and Great pace of play

This was second time playing course and very pleased with the conditions of greens and fairways. Very windy on day I played but that didn’t stop our group from playing 18 in 3:45. Love the ocean views on several holes. Nice staff and very good restaurant for post round meal. See you next time WVGC!

Windy

I love this course, unfortunately we had 25+ mph winds ( luck of the draw) so playing was difficult. I’ve played three different times and will play again.

Enjoyable layout

Played Beach/Lakes. A few semi blind shots. Real disappointments were the spotty greens and dirt no sand fairway bunkers.

Waikoloa Village

My round at Waikoloa Village was very challenging the course was beautiful and the layout was good for my caliber of play

The issue that day was the wind we had gust up to 40mi/hr 2to 3 club wind very very challenging look forward to playing it again without the wind ✌️

Great layout!

I hadn’t played the course in several years and forgot how great the layout is! Paid $81 this close to Christmas. Can’t beat the value of the locations at this time of year.

A gem for Kona and Golf Seekers!

Played first time in the Village. I used Golf Now and received a solid rate. The Gentleman at the pro shop placed my spot for 2nd grouping out with a great local twosome. I play a 3-5 handicap and play solo 80% of the time. We played 18 holes in 2:40 minutes and I looked at all the groups behind us, and all the groups were moving with efficiency. This was outstanding. I played down the hill at the resort and took 2:45 minutes for the last nine the day prior. I talked to some locals, and they said go up to the village. The views are majestic, and the wind is real. I walked out to get my cart and the crew had my name and grouping dialed in. Excellent communication. I tipped everyone and well deserved. This course is outstanding. I was -2 under after 10 and came in with a 73. The course is beautiful. Pay attention to the flag sticks the pins are critical to know on distance. Many middle to back are 45 feet on distance so, have your distances dialed. The local group saved me 3-4 shots on the elevation and winds. I the wind play 1-2 clubs different. On the first par 3 I the yardage was 179 to the front. I played a 22 hybrid and hit normally 205 to 210 and got the front of the green. Play the wind for distances down wind and side winds. The tee boxes were perfect, and the fairways are in outstanding shape. I hit 13/14 fairways. I studied the yardages the night before and if you play the whites the perfect spots are 210-220 before the traps. I was hitting around 260-280 yards, and I had to line up over some traps. If you are a bomber, you can fly the fairways into the rough. The rough is real but go for the fairways over distance. The greens are very favorable and stay above or below straight below the flag. Sideway shots will have the biggest breaks. The locals taught me this and it paid in dividends. The course is just as good as the resort courses and the speed of play was so refreshing. Be kind to the locals and the crews working and they give back in positive vibes. Thank you. This made my trip a great golf experience and I'm playing all the courses on Kona that I have access to. If you want views, winds, and great golf this is a diamond. Thank you to everyone that works here. They keep this place in pristine condition.

Nice course and scenery.

Played the Kings and Beach nines. Both were great. Nice scenery. Some greens were recently aerated but still in good shape. Nice 19th hole. A great deal for guests of the Hilton.

Greens under repair

Would have been a beautiful

Round but the greens were that of a municipal course in a dry climate. They airated 2 weeks ago and they are dry with bare spots still.

Do not recommend currently.
