About Waikoloa Beach Resorts (Hawaii Island)

Waikoloa Beach is a 1,350-acre master-planned resort community on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii (Big) Island. It offers multiple hotels, plus additional condominium and villa units. It is home to a wealth of water sports, restaurants and nightlife, as well as three 18-hole golf courses. Accommodations include the Hilton Waikoloa Village, Hilton Grand Vacations, Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, Marriott's Waikoloa Ocean Club and the Lava Lava Beach Club Cottages. Condominiums are offered both on golf course fairways and overlooking the coastline. The golf club features the Beach Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., and the Kings' Course, designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish. The Waikoloa Village Course is another option that is more affordable and inland for primarily local play. Waikoloa Beach Resort is located 17 miles from Kona International Airport.

Horrible course amenities

The course layout was nice. We played the lake and the kings course. The scenery way beautiful but the greens had divots that weren't repaired. There wasn't a ranger regulating the pace of play. We were stuck behind a group that was 5 putting anf the while round took over 5 hours. The beverage cart didn't come by til the 15 hole. They say there's only 1 beverage cart for 36 holes. I don't recommend this course. Mauna Lani is far superior for a similar price

Enjoyed my day, great experience!

I played for the first time today and had an excellent experience. The staff were helpful and kind. They went out of their way to make my golf experience enjoyable. First time I played in such windy conditions but still the course was very playable. The ball was always sitting up well on the fairways and the greens rolled true. It was a great day and look forward to playing there again!
