About Wailea Golf Resorts (Maui)
Wailea is a Hawaiian resort and residential community in south Maui. great day of golf in December
Nice way to spend a December day on Maui. Course was in very good shape with challenging greens. Fairways are generous, but a good challenge for the average golfer. Sand traps are best avoided because of "heavy" sand. but they do come into play on many holes. Price was a little to the high side, but from what I hear from others playing here, sounds like you get what you ;pay for.
Paradise Golf
I have played the Gold Course but it had been a few years. Course was as expected in phenomenal shape. Greens were little slower than I am used to Bermuda Grass Greens take a little time to get used to. If your putting into the grain hit it firm!! Course is extremely more difficult when the wind starts to blow. Play early mornings to avoid this.
This course is a must play
All good, excellent course. Ladies Tees are generous making it a great couples round. Many gorgeous views, course was in perfect shape, nice bar and Pro Shop. Would definitely play again while in Maui.
Course design
Awesome golf course. Excellent shape and gorgeous views.
ask questions
Went off as a single, quickly met a two some who allowed me to play through. Then came on a group of five who did not, so had to skip a hole to get around them only to come up on a two some waiting on another group of five. Two groups of five with singles and two somes intermixed is bad management.
Nice track
Really nice track, conditions were amazing, a little boring and not much character, and would
probably pay a little bit more to play somewhere else. Felt was a tad pricey
For the value
very nice
booked an early tee time to stay out of the wind and was lucky to have amazing weather. the course is heavily bunker so be prepared for that. booked as a single but was paired up with 2 other guys who were a good time. definitely makes you think off the tee box with your club selection. driving range is disappointing as you have to take a separate cart to go to the range. greens are tricky to read with speed. i recommend the course to anyone looking for a nice course in wailea.
average
course is very forgiving off the tee. but is a pretty boring course in my opinion. no driving range, just hitting in a cage to warm up. would recommend paying a little more money to play the gold or emerald courses
Fun track
Fun course. Great shape. Not used to Bermuda, putting was challenging. Would play again.
Majestic views
Wailea golf was a awesome pick for us to play an afternoon scramble with our wives. The course was in impeccable shape with majestic views and picture taking moments on almost every hole. My wife who almost never plays was giddy after this round. The fairways were wide and easy to hit so you can grip it and rip it.
Great course, played it before. P.S. if your playing partner can’t hit farther than 40yards at a time then you might wanna pick a different course. Sorry my only complaint, love it here.
A real treat
While the gold doesn't offer as many stunning views as the emerald, the course is a treat none the less. A bit more challenging with more bunkering that is strategically placed. Overall though the course is very fun and worth the money.
A real treat
Nothing dramatic or crazy to say, just a solid beautiful golf course. Fun and fair layout with beautiful views. If you're lucky enough to be in Maui and staying on this side of the island, it's a no brain'er to play here. Hoping to get back sooner than later.
Maui Must Play
Awesome ocean views paired with a great design and great conditions to play on. This course with Plantation are top notch golf experiences on Maui.
Wailea Blue
The course is in excellent shape. Greens are impeccable and the views spectacular! It a must any golfer coming to Maui,
Nice Course but too expensive
This is a nice course. I play it all the time when I come to Maui. However, when Christmas season arrives they jack the price up! So I only play it once for the $145 afternoon price. Use to play it a few times when they charged $99.
A Must Play
This course was manicured perfectly. The greens were smooth and quick and the fairways were lush and the rough thick. The most challenging aspect of the course is the strategically placed bunkers. You will most likely hit it in at least one bunker when you play. I definitely recommend playing this course when visiting Maui.
Nice wide open course
The Blue Course at Wailea has beautiful views. The course is in good shape. Some of the greens are slower than you expect. There are a few places where you might lose a ball or two, but most fairways are pretty generous. Be alert for the occasional walker on the cart paths.
Challenging greens
Excellent course for area and price. Fast pace of play. Very challenging greens. If in doubt the ball will roll to the ocean on most greens.
Beautiful course in a beautiful location
Golfed Wailea Blue Course for the first time. Course is in excellent condition and played it in slightly less than 4 hours. Greens are slower than I am use to but in great shape. Also have to use one more club as I am at sea level. Second round replay is $50 so excellent value if playing 36. Definitely would play it again
