About Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa

Located 150 miles west of Chicago, the Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa is a 6,800 acre recreational, residential and resort community six miles southeast of the historic town of Galena, Ill. Golfers come for the challenge of 63 holes on four courses and accommodations at a charming inn or more than 250 villas and distinctive homes. The 15,000 square feet of meeting space and beautiful conference homes cater to corporate groups, banquets and weddings. Other features include award-winning restaurants, the Stonedrift Spa, and an incredible selection of outdoor activities such as skiing, biking, hiking and horseback riding trails, as well as tennis, hot air balloon rides, and boating and fishing on the 225-acre Lake Galena.

Enjoyable 9 hole round.

Enjoyable and scenic 9 hole round during a family get together. Great staff, especially the starter. Very personable and helpful.

Course was in good shape except I found the greens a bit on the slow side and a bit “shaggy”. It was fine for the family golf I was doing but it took a bit away from a nice course.

This may have been due to the crazy heat and humidity this summer along with excessive rain so I am not going to blame the staff, we didn’t play any of the other area courses for comparison.

I do plan to go back as I enjoyed the scenery and friendly staff.

Eagle ridge north course

Beautiful course in pristine condition.

Watch out for some blind shots on a couple of holes.

You will need to find the correct side of the fairway in order to get to the greens.

Definitely will play again.

It's Not "The General"!

I played The General at Eagle Ridge last week and it was FANTASTIC! A fella told me that the North Course was just as good; that's not true. The North Course is above average for the region. The sand is of poor quality as the bunkers need major help.
