Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa - East Course
Situated just outside of Galena, Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa offers three 18-hole championship courses and one nine-hole course that are nestled amongst rolling, wooded hills. The General, North, and South Courses are the championship layouts while the East Course is the nine-hole course. The East is not long at 2,648 yards but don't underestimate its level of difficulty. Accuracy is extremely important on this course and putting requires a deft touch. It offers the same excellent conditions and design that the championship golf courses are known for. The course acts as a good warm-up for the longer courses, but it is also great for beginners since it offers the same challenges but on a smaller scale. The finishing hole is a short par 4 that is a great scoring hole.

NOT worth the price!
I played this course many years ago and recall it being different (Much better layout).... Perhaps there has been a change? For $50/9 holes, it is NOT worth the money! The fairways and rough were not manicured and the sand traps??? TERRBLE! Greens were OK. For $50 you don't even get a few range balls to hit! ... I would not reccomend.
Tougher than expected
For the most part, the course was in decent shape. The fairways were a little dry and had some brown spots. The bunkers could be maintained a little better with clearly defined edges. The greens were cut a little long and some of the previous hole cuts were loose and uneven. The tee boxes were a little tight and mostly soft, so it was hard to put tees in the ground.
I found the course to be a little more difficult than I expected as many of the fairways are tight and completely tree lined, so if a ball goes in there, don't expect to find it. The fairways are also heavily contoured, so don't expect many flat lies and be ready to have a forced carry over a hazard to the green. About half of the greens are relatively flat and the other half are either curved or sloped.
Overall, the course was in good condition and provided some great scenery. The course played tougher than expected, but was a good challenge. The carts could probably use an upgrade considering our seats were torn. Make sure to bring plenty of extra balls and be ready to spend some extra time looking for errant shots/lost balls.
Great nine hole course
Great place to play a quick nine holes . bring your "A " game . not easy
What this nine hole course lacks in length, it makes up for that in tight fairways, very soft sand in the bunkers, and sloped greens. If you have the money to spend, it is a beautiful venue for young people and couples looking to play nine holes. The hard core players will be at one of the three other eighteen hole Eagle Ridge courses.
Great Scenic course for the money
This nine hole course is a great course. It is in excellent condition and very scenic. Greens have quite a bit of undulations to them but not overly difficult. Bring your camera for this course. The first par 3 on the course is about 150 yards from back tee and the tee box is about 80 feet above the green. I decided to play this course twice in one day so I could have 18 holes played.
Even though it is a short course from the back tees, it still presents challenges.
I would highly recommend this course.
nice tight course not long
The golf course was nice, the pricing policy is crazy.I tried to play course the day before, but they wanted 59 dollars to play, nothing was on golfnow,Nwxt day I paid 11 dollars
At 2461 yds (men's tees) not long but some challenging holes.
Many elevation changes and fairway bunkers plus hazards which cross the fairways make the course fun and interesting.
A very challenging experience.
The course setting is wooded with narrow, hilly fairways.
9 hole wonder!
Challanging 9 hole course - in great shape - finished 9 holes in 1.25 hours! Lost a dozen balls -
The staff is very professional and very helpful. will play this course again
