Only took me 30 years! Photo submitted by rjhmu on 11/04/2012
Target golf with a nice layout. Not well manicured. Tee boxes and sand trips need we’re on manicured. Too bad, it could use some TLC and flowers to complement the beautiful oak trees.
Drunken golf
Everything was fine until 15th hole anddd saw 7 golf carts and beer girl sitting in the middle of fairway nobody golfing
Horrible pace of play and conditions
I was stuck behind a 5 some that was thankfully only playing 9. It took 3 hours to finish the front 9. This course was in desperate need of greens repair. They were littered with pitch marks. Almost 3/4 of the bunkers were either mud or filled with water. A ranger on the course for pace of play is desperately needed. Course was relatively straight forward if you are skilled with driver.
Course
First time at the course and it was a great place, did not expect the layout to be what is was. The course was challenging from beginning to end, will go again for sure, very pleased.
Hidden Gem
Best course in the area… love playing this place on a weekday. Very sporty course and the cart girl was very friendly.
Pin placement
Not typical…but. Pin placement…impossible. Steep side hills with tightly cut greens with.
Nice coarse but very rude ranger
First off the course manager and starter were very pleasant individuals. Paid to play and have a good time with a friend on our off day. Having a good time until Ranger John stalked us and harassed us because we each decided to hit an extra ball off the tee. …we were FOUR HOLES AHEAD of the next group ( his buddies). We are not scratch golfers but we didn’t know we were in front of PGA players coming up on our rear end (which his friend were not). He followed us for about 3 holes watching every shot hit. I don’t know about others, but to make comments about how fast his friends are and we should speed up when we definitely were not holding up anyone is pretty rude.
Extremely slow play, course poorly maintained
This course layout is short but very nice. Unfortunately, course is poorly maintained, pace of play is abysmally slow and ranger non-existent. The starter had no idea what he is doing and let out groups of 5, which made for a 5 1/2 hour round. My round was only $24 with TeeOff discount but still found it overpriced for the slow play and poorly maintained course conditions.
The Wood
I really enjoy playing this course. Two issues however, Bunker condition (mixture of mud and sand, which could destroy your score with a mis-hit),. At times the course can get packed depending on the day, so plan to spend some extra time.
