Good Value
Decent course at a good price. Really slow though, and no starter to spread out tee offs. Waited around a lot as the course got backed up.
Challenging Greens
Really nice course in Itasca that is an equidistant drive from the city, northwest suburbs (vernon hills), and southwest suburbs (naperville).
Beautiful course that is well maintained, fair amount of water, not too much deep woods. The greens were challenging but fun.
A little more than I usually spend on a round of golf but it was a really nice facility and a fun course.
Great course for a weekend golfer
The fairways were in great shape but some of the greens were a little beat up. The sand traps were deeper than most courses that we have played which made them very challenging. We would definitely play this course again!
I guess five somes are allowed
Always a pleasure to play here, fun, but challenging course. However, not sure how a five some was able to play 18-holes, even after reporting to the clubhouse.
Great condition, mediocre course
Course was in great shape, greens were a tad slow considering the quality of everything else. Numerous holes are drivable which makes pace of play super slow, sometimes tee boxes had 3 groups, I also played in a peak hour though. Courses are all very close and people were shooting balls across all fairways yelling foreeeeee
Where is the Ranger?????
Second time playing the course this year. Although short, like the layout and some holes are very challenging, especially with the large sand traps guarding many of the greens. Only negative and this is directed to fellow golfers - use a divot tool please. The greens have many ball divots that need to be repaired as over time, these unrepaired ball divots on the green will only damage the greens.
Now why the rating is only average. We had an early am tee time on Saturday. We were a twosome behind a foursome of beginners. On hole #8, a par 3, a foursome jumped holes (not sure where they came from) and started to play in front of our foursome ahead of us. Started to really drag and then saw the ranger near 10th tee box. Did not want to be bothered with what we had to say, was only there to see when the grill behind that tee box was going to be ready and we watched him drive up the 16 path and duck into the maintenance area. The beginners foursome in front took the pleasure of treating the back nine like a driving range only to hit numerous balls off each tee per player and then to continue this on all fairway shots. After we finished the par 3 13th, again saw the ranger, again not interested in what we had to say and informed us that the next hole was cart path only. After we hit our tee shots on 14, we noticed the same ranger sitting in his cart in the maintenance area, patrolling the 14th fairway, However, saw many groups in the 14th fairway area and Mr Ranger continuing to sit and do nothing. The weather began to turn on the 15th hole only to see our friendly ranger heading to the Pro Shop. If you have rangers, please tell them their responsibilities. And it is not to hang out and hunt for balls and take advantage of the perks of the course.
perfect green course with not long but some chanlenge
4.5 very good green for a very good round without 3 putts!
Course was fine
Course was fine. Got 15 holes in before it rained. It was a good day.
Solid
Short course, very well kept fairways and greens. Felt a little rushed off the tee, but the pace of play was fast anyhow. Would play here again!
Great Course, Needs Respect
I love playing this course, it's easily one of my favorites. However, it needs some TLC. Divots on the fairways (some more like trenches, you guys need some lessons, haha), and unrepaired ball marks on the greens. Come on, these players need to take better care of the course when they play.
