On green of 5th hole of Willow Crest Photo submitted by u642535502 on 09/08/2020
Played two days after heavy rains so fairways were very wet and bunkers were in poor condition. Otherwise a nice course with a variety of holes. I got a $38 rate which I thought was appropriate. Most players pay a $75 rate which seems high to me.
All pins were at least one to two inches too deep for some reason.
Place is falling apart. It used to be the best course in the area. Won’t play here anymore unless they drop the rates.
Fall from Grace
This used to be one of my favorite courses. Its super beat up and in need of repair. The cart parts are terrible and dangerous. Carts are old and not covers for rain for teh clubs. The greens are heavily marked and unkept. The pace was way to slow for a Wed. There are rumors teh course was sold and will be turned into housing. Perhaps they arent keeping up teh course as a result.
Course needs attention
This course is in bad shape starting with the golf cart path where there are holes, bumps and deep craters everywhere. The sand traps were in terrible shape and many of them were just mud. The greens are not being taken care of and neither are the fairways. The price they charge for playing a course in this shape is outrageous.
Great course but battered
I have played this course well over 50 times. Great course. But the course is in need of much repair. The cart paths are really bad and dangerous. The greens are showing more wear than usual even though we have had plenty of rain in IL. The Bunkers were either full of water or so dried out it was like hitting on concrete. I am hoping they can do a little better moving forward
