Good Course but could use some help
The course is tight but fair. You need to be accurate off the tee or you will find trouble. Bunkers everywhere which is my problem with the course. The bunkers needed sand badly. It was like hitting off cart path. Nothing but rocks and compacted sand. The black tee boxes were also in rough shape. They were really sloped with divots everywhere. Most of the time it was hard to find a good place to tee from and with the course playing tight they should’ve been better maimed. Overall fun little par 70 course.
FYI, please repair your divots. Takes 2 seconds and makes the green that much better for everyone else to play on.
Challenging and forgiving
Great layout. Forgiving as there is some tall grass but the majority is 2nd cut rough. Some narrow fairways to test the drives.
Was a bit backed up, Father’s Day so it was expected but there was a fivesome ahead of my group. Thought it was odd to offer a 5-some on such a busy day.
All in all, will play it again.
Pot holes and weeds
The cart path had giant pot holes everywhere full of water. Also the fairway had weeds and next to the green as well. The bathrooms where all closed and they instead put a portpuddy next to them. Cart got only came around once in 18 holes. 18 holes took 5 and 1/2 hours. For 90 I could of hand the same experience at a cheap course and not been upset that I got ripped of.
Disappointing Conditions
I have played Willow Crest on numerous occasions and this was by far the worst I’ve seen it. The bunkers were basically unplayable, tee boxes chewed up and greens had several bumps and old divots. It’s criminal to charge someone more than $50 to play at any given time the way it currently is. I don’t think I’ll ever be back unless there is drastic change.
Slow Play
Course was in good shape. Greens could be better if people would fix divots. Took 4:50 minutes to play round. Would be nice if they had a ranger that improved pace of play. Luckily It was a nice day and not to hot. Second time playing here I do like the course layout and the variations in the holes.
Bad Cart Paths
For a resort golf course, and the money they charge, the cart paths were all broken up!!! Very Bad, need to put some money into new paths!
`Overpriced
Priced like a premium course, but lacking in basics. Virtually no yardage markers. Bunkers were in poor condition. No water available anywhere on a day with 93 degree temperatures. The only guidance about hole configurations came from a tiny map on the scorecard. No practice range, only a putting green. The fairways and greens were in reasonably good shape but players are left to their own devices. The course is fine but the amenities needed by a first-time visitor do not exist.
Need to improve traps and cart paths
I have played this course many times always fun nice layout normally good conditiions but today water in many of the traps absolutely no sand all mud makes hitting out of bunkers unfair. Cart paths have huge potholes in many areas. Hey please keep up on the basic maintenance if you want return customers.
Not worth the green fees anymore
No one repairs ball marks on the green. 90% of cart paths are filled with pot holes. $79 to ride is not worth it for current conditions.
Nice track !
Early season play
Was wet, sand can use some help
Wish they had ball cleaners at more holes, due to early conditions balls had mud on them at every shot !
