On green of 5th hole of Willow Crest Photo submitted by u642535502 on 09/08/2020
Willow Crest
Most of the course was in good shape; the fairways and rough were lush and the greens rolled true. The only negative was a lack of sand in the traps.
Good course for all golfers
Willow Crest is a course you want to play more than once. Not too long for beginners or weekend golfers and friendly staff make the experience enjoyable.
Good course! Good value
This is a very solid course, I thought the value for money was good. The only criticism and it might even be harsh criticism is that it was on a Saturday afternoon and a round for x2 people took close to five hours to complete. The pace of play was brutally slow. I would definitely go back though maybe on a quieter day
Course laying out
Many Charengeing holes but check your skills and working out coming back to playing better.all good.
Course is designed to work all your clubs.
So many courses around the burbs, but this one still outshines most of them.
Feels like a boardroom will be on the next tee box
Boring course overall. Decent conditions, greens were solid, fairways and tee boxes were fine. . I am writing this review for only one reason... the bunkers were not ok. Basically was like hitting off of concrete. Need more sand! Staff was great though.
Nice course, bad pace
Fairways and greens were in nice shape. Extremely disappointing pace of play. Please space your groups out accordingly or send a ranger out to speed people up. .
Course is not an easy resort course. Requires accuracy off the tee and approach shots or you are in deep trouble! I’m a 12 handicap and the course will add 4 strokes to your score. Very tight set up so errand shots come from multiple directions- kinda scary at times. It is a great test for good golfers and probably miserable for high handicappers. I would suggest one of the first tee times before the hotel guests come out to play.
Worth the $$
One of the the best looking public golf courses I’ve played. Great value for the $$, quick 25 min ride from downtown Chicago - would definitely play here again.
Good, but overpriced
Good course, good groundskeeping, greens and fairways were in very good shape. At $79 for 18, it is on the high side, but, did have many tee times available and the pace was very good.
Great pace of play and staff
Very tight golf course with lots of hazards and OB just off the fairways and greens. Greens are very small and in decent shape for a public course. Not a bad course to play if you can get a good deal, but would not go out of your way to come back. Great staff though and very well run.
