It's a good average golf course, perfect for seniors like us
Course was in poor condition. Fairways were not cut that short. Fairways were very narrow. Greens were extremely slow.
Looks like course hadn’t undergone any upgrades in decades, as the steps to some greens and tees need some major upgrades. The bunkers need better care, as grass was growing in some of them.
The back nine layout definitely better, and more challenging than the front 9.
Probably won’t go back to play during the peak summer season. Maybe play it only during the off season when conditions are harder to upkeep.
Great improvement
It’s much better than last year! Greens are much much better! It’s easier to see the ball even OB.
Early Season Round
We enjoy playing Crane's Landing because, in general, it's an easy course to play. We consider it one of our season 'warm up' courses. However, this early in the season? Neither the red tees or the blue tees were on the course. Can understand why the blue tees might not be there (length of course), but it's hard for someone who needs the red tee length to judge distance and where to tee off from. And if we're using this as a warm up course for the season, not having full tee-box yardages doesn't help a player know where and how to adjust their game.
Which is not to say we won't play the course again...Just a bit frustrating to not have some ability to gauge where a player is in March, vs. where a player wants to be later in the season.
Cost per round was quite good, especially since included cart.
Needs help
It’s early in the season and the Course had a soft opening, which meant that it wasn’t officially opened. Greens were not truly ready for a season opening. Tea boxes on Level and hacked up. They hadn’t been maintained very well.
Needs Work
This course has an excellent layout. Fair but challenging. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. They are doing the best they can with a course that needs help.
It would be nice to have at least short order sit down table service. This is a resort course.
The course is in rough shape. The weather has been hard on courses in the area this year. Nonetheless, other courses in the area have done a much better job of dealing with the challenges. A bigger staff and a bigger budget required?
I want a refund!!
The course failed to let me know there is a league that starts at 8am. A four some cut me off at hole 12 and started playing extremely slow. And were extra rude about me wanting to pass. Ultimately not allowing me to pass them which was insane. Pretty fair to say I should get a refund GolfNow.
Horrible condition, rude staff, never go
Got to the course, paid full price. Went out and played in the course was in absolutely horrible condition. There were pot marks on every Green, fairways were torn up. When the staff asked how the round was, I told them the condition was in a horrible condition. They really did not appreciate that comment. They said that it was because of a water pipe that burst, and that they're doing everything they can. I understand all that, but why charge $80 for a very subpar condition course? I can go to arboretum down the street for the same price in pristine condition.
Course is in awful shape, not worth the $
The course is in terrible shape. It should be in the $25-$35 price point in this condition. This used to be a decent course but its brutal now.
