Enjoyable 18 with a very very challenging back 9
Course needs some work
The course was pretty beat up in spots. It is a shame because the course is challenging and a nice layout when it is in much better shape.
Nice Course, Downgraded due to Staff
I will start by saying I was playing solo and was using a golf cart and pared up with another solo who had his own cart. The course was enjoyable and mostly well maintained. Some of the greens and tee boxes were chopped up and the fairways were very wet.
I was enjoying my round until I got to the 9th hole and a staff member (perhaps the head pro or club house manager) drove up and questioned why both of us had our own carts and that ‘policy’’ is that all carts must have two riders. The guy demanded that me and the stranger I was paired up with share carts, mid-round. I will say I’ve been to courses that have this policy but it’s enforced by the club house or the starter. I’ve never had this particular situation happen. Needless to say it left a bad taste in my mouth regarding the course. If your course is going to be cheap and not have enough carts, be sure to enforce your policy before people start playing their round.
Flooded course
Back nine closed whole course full of water with no warning prior to booking. Could be decent mid summer
Nice course play on the slow side
Crain’s landing is a nice course with a resort layout so wider fairway and able to run ball up on most holes . It has nice greens on the slower side be true . They need to be rolled to become a little quicker.
Cours has a fun shorter layout But at 6200 long enough for me. The pace of play and price are the one downsides. Many senior golfers that don’t normally let singles play through you just have to be nice and persistent and they will let you get unless you like 4+. Hour rounds with the course 1/3 of capacity.
This is a 30 dollar course max I find it on hot tees often and use my ten dollar off rewards.
The senior rate during the week is 35 with cart so GolfNow is the way to play here.
I try to play off peak to lesson the slow play like after 10 am weekdays
