18th Signature Hole...Gorgeous Photo submitted by JCZents33 on 04/26/2013
One of Indiana's best
I had the pleasure of playing this track this past week and it was an outstanding course. The layout is one of the best in the state of Indiana as it is picturesque and captures your complete attention on every tee box. The course is very difficult and being in the fairway is a must if you want to score well. The greens were very firm and covered in sand during my round would be the one let down for the round. The staff was extremely friendly. They have a wonderful establishment with the casino, hotel and course. It is a must play for anyone in the tri-state area.
Poor upkeep, terrible greens and fairways, overpriced!
First the driving range was difficult to find grass to hit off, then the greens are in the poorest shape I have ever seen for what was supposed to be a very nice course. Ball marks everywhere, grass was very thin, almost looking diseased, many spots where people were dragging their feet and leaving spike gashes.. The fairways have far too many bare spots and unfilled divots. A couple spots there were skid marks from carts in the fairways, like some idiots were trying to destroy the course! When I arrived an employee loaded my clubs and set everything in the cart, I gave a fair tip. When I finished we had to pick up on #18 because of a thunderstorm. Stood in clubhouse until downpour was over, already got soaked. My wife used the locker room to shower, the hair dryer didn't work and there were no towels. When I went out to get my clubs there were 4-5 employees there cleaning the carts, not one person offered to assist me in taking my two golf bags to my car or even offered to wipe them off. I got a great price for this course but left feeling it was overpriced. I failed to mention the pace of play was horrendous, group behind us hit into us two holes in a row. Once while we were in clear view. We had to wait on every shot on the back 9. No ranger to assist moving groups along. If you get this course as a "comp" have fun but be careful. If you pay cash to play, it is a $30 course at best! Golf Advisor missed the rating for this course! I play many very good courses and this course is not one of them. I would never replay this one.
Pampered and Perfect
Staff treats you like royalty. You get free use of golf range before tee time. They give you a towel to use. you get a cooler on the cart with 2 bottles of water in ice.
The course is in perfect condition. Like playing on carpet. Very wide fairways. Large greens, Large Traps. Ponds. All make for a very nice round of golf.
I've played at a lot of courses this year and I haven't seen much better unless you compare to resort courses down in Florida! Highly recommend!!!
Best Public Course within 100 miles
This course was incredible. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left, we were treated with the upmost professionalism and courtesy. The staff here pays close attention to detail, and every tee box we stepped foot on brought with it a picturesque view of the hole that was to follow.
I have played Stonelick in Cincy, and other top courses in the area, and I would recommend Belterra over all of them. Make the drive, you wont regret it.
I felt like royalty
Staff went out of their way to makecyou feel welcome. Cooler with ice cold water on cart. Cart also had onboard computer to get distance to center of green and other features too.. Free golf range to warm up before round. Course is very well maintained. Lots of wide fairways, but with lots of sand traps. The course was saturated when i played so ball stuxk where it landed, including the drives. Carts on path only was unfortunate, but understandable due to the conditions. Unusual amount of rain caused this. It was still a very enjoyable time..
Fantastic course
Love this course. 3rd time playing here. My son and I played from the tips and it make the course very challenging and pretty long. We enjoy the fact that every hole is so different from each other. The par 3’s are long from back tees. I would recommend this course to anyone, from the weekend golfer to the avid serious player.
Excellent experience
Course is very nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The layout is tough for any golfer, but is very manageable. The only downfall we noticed is that a couple of the greens had a ton of ball marks and made it rough when putting. Overall a great experience and we will be back!
Best course in the area
All grass surfaces were perfect...even the rough! Only spot for slight improvement would be bunker maintenance (shots in the bottom of burnkers are tought to 'splash'...due to lack of loose sand). Greens were rolling great! Playing from the blue tees, with 3pm+ start time, there is a lot of shade available around the tee boxes. We drive about 35 miles to play Belterra, but it is ALWAYS worth the drive.
Treat
Always a treat to play this course. 18 quiet holes of golf and no homes to screw up the scenery. only complaint is/ there are a lot of ignorant idiots who don't fix their ball marks, on the greens.
Belterra golf course
Quality experience.at a first rate course. I always enjoy my round at Belterra and am glad they continue to be a partner with golf now. I hope everyone who loves golf will experience this beautiful place and their great staff.
always nice
love the course, always well maintained, fun to play. only complaint was greens werent as fast as normal.
Enjoyable course
Course was in excellent condition. Only slight weakness is the sand traps. Difficulty of the course depends on which set of tee you play. I wish they had a combo of blue/white tees for a set of tees. There is a 4 to 5 hundred yard difference between the two. Always a pleasure to play. Facilities are first class.
Great Course
Play this track and you will have a fun time. My fav in the Northern KY area
Great course!!!!
We drive close to an hour to play this could a half dozen times a year and it's worth it.
Staff is always great and the course is amazing.
Challenging but always in great shape.
Looking forward to our next trip.
Give it a try you will enjoy it I promise.
Amazing
Simply amazing - No other way to say it.
Do you like golf?
This is the course for you.
You stand on the tee box and look out over each of the holes - they all look like a picture your boss hangs in the office with one of those motivational sayings on it - then you have to hit it out there and make it happen.
Fairways are wide enough to make it fun. Most holes have green side bunkers so hit your irons straight!
I cannot wait to play this course again.
Review of Belterra G C
We played nine holes and got rained out. I tried to call Golf Now and was told there was 25 minute wait to talk to anyone. Golf Now does not receive emails where I can ask a question. The Golf Course told me to contact Golf Now to receive any rainchecks.
