Rainy Day
Today the course was really wet from rain past few days ... Course was still in good condition considering the amount of rain ... Staff is always great people ... Favorite course in the area for the Friendly staff and great values with Golf now tee times ...
Best in the county
Shot an 77;) Tickled pink with this coarse. Also give the staff a raise they're awesome.
Worth your time
Great course, greens are improved, new carts are needed.
Enjoyed it!
We played on a GolfNow deal so the value was great! (Definitely not advertising for GolfNow!) We were met by the friendliest and most hospitable attendant (Sorry, didn’t get his name) Tee to green, the course was in great shape especially for this time of year. Lush tees and fairways. Rough cut to an appropriate length. Cold water available at multiple locations throughout. Greens were a little rough. Had some spots that made them rough but the recent aeration is healing well. Grounds staff was courteous and considerate of play as seemed genuine concerned about how we thought the course looked. Obviously take pride in their work. Not a big selection of food as they have no grill area but more than adequate selection of sandwiches that can be heated, cold beer and assorted non-alcoholic drinks and snack food. We play a lot of different courses and this was one of the nicer ones around. Views are fabulous with the lake, forest and abundant wildlife. We’ll be back again in the future.
Very poor greens
Greens are poor condition. Couldn't hardly putt.m This normally a great course. Haven't played it in over 6 weeks. The pace of play is always very slow because of their so called good OLD BOYS playing their golf gambling game.
The greens were rough.
Normally, this course is in great shape. Currently with the summer heat/rain, they are about to lose their bent grass greens. I know from my home course this takes a lot of man hours to baby the grass with special chemicals to keep them healthy right now. The fairways are in excellent condition (zoysia). They also have several tees out of play, looked like changing from bent grass to another grass (not sure what type grass). Don’t write this course off your list as normally it’s a fun course to play. But currently summer heat is really stressing the greens.
Best in the county
The rain in excess of six inches in the past month have been hard on some of the greens. Otherwise the course is wonderful
Always a pleasure.
Course is in fantastic shape. Play here several times a year. Staff is exceptional.
Excellent Course... Hidden Gem
KY State Parks has done it again. Burnside was in great shape. It is very challenging but not overly complicated. Pace of play was great. It penalizes bad shots and rewards good ones. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'll be back.
GREAT Condition
Burnside staff is always very friendly with the players. And the course is always in great shape!!
