Tanglewood Golf Course

My first time playing at Tanglewood. I’m a handicap player. I really enjoyed my plying of the first nine. Hoping to play back nine in a few days.

Just my brother and I played. To be honest I thought we were in for a five hour round. There were a scramble ahead of us some five to a team. But they let us play through. Got done 3 and half hours plus that was cart path only. The golf course what I read is improving in condition and I igree with that. Al in all good condition. Have some long holes and challenging. Especially with the blind shorts and uneven lies. Balnced off with some short par fours. If you have not played the course drive ahead and spot your next landing spot. Yes I would like to play again since I know it better.

Challenging, but fair course. A hidden gem away from it all. Good people behind the counter.

I hadn’t played this course in a couple of years and thought I’d give it a look again. The layout is challenging but fair if one could distinguish the difference between the fairway and the second cut. The grass on the fairways was a mixture of several types and patchy in places but what grass was there was not cut. Since I was playing by myself I would often move my ball to a spot that had decent grass to hit from. And the tee boxes were worse than the fairways. I play from the senior tees and some looked like they hadn’t been mowed in a week! Can’t complain too much about the greens. They were in pretty good shape which makes it hard to understand why the rest of the course isn’t.

This course could be a gem if management would step up and take better care of it or better yet invest some money and get consistent grass type in the fairways.

They were running a tournament and booking publicly. Combined with inept scheduling, the pace of play was roughly 25 minutes per hole. No refunds given in cash only in rain check even though i flat out stated I'm never coming back. For a resort course, there's better value at other locations. The pro shop though old and small was well stocked, however, i silver of gold in a pile of flaming trash is still a pile of trash. I wasn't being greedy asking for the $$for the 9 holes i didn't get to play. If they booked smarter around their tournaments and outings, maybe they wouldn't drive golfers away like this.

Greens are in perfect condition! Really enjoyed my round; met two local ladies who made my day!

Extremely slow play. It was just me and son and I was stuck behind slow play and just left. Wont be coming this way for while

This was a nice course but has a ton of blind shots that make it tough until you know your way around. I enjoyed the round and the staff is excellent.

The word is out on the "Stay and Play" package deals where huge groups of fellow golfers rent the condo's for the weekend and play all day. This weekend, was just short of ridiculous. Groups of 10 & 12 golfers moving in a pack, holding up the front and back nine, blasting huge speakers with raunchy music. It was overwhelming and I'm a fairly tolerant dude. Had to eventually leave after 5 hours and not completing the round. This is the second time this year we've experienced the same thing. Nobody on course to manage any aspect of it. Just a bunch of drunks, running all over the course. I'm done with this road-house golf course.

Great place and great value. They're always improving course conditions. I play there multiple times a year.
