Hole 13.. What a view from the Tee... Photo submitted by KBarker on 09/29/2013
Awesome course
Every hole is a risk & reward hole.
Huge elevation changes, correct yardage is a must?
Bring extra balls, you will need them
Eagle Ridge does not disappoint
An absolute hidden gem. The Kentucky State Parks should be extremely proud of these state-sponsored municipals.
Eagle Ridge is challenging but playable at a high-handicapper level if you play the correct tees. I have played the second and third tees in past rounds. This round, I played from the third tees and enjoyed my round even more. Even though I lost several balls, some holes I absolutely dominated and gained confidence in my game.
Only negative was, the pro shop didn’t open until 10 minutes before my tee time, 8 a.m.
Beautiful but tough
Eagle Ridge is a challenging course with interesting turns and undulating fairways. Hole 13 is their signature hole and the tee puts you at least 500-600 feet above the green. Advise- take plenty of balls.
Neat place to play and always seems to be in good condition.
Simply Beautiful
Hardest course I’ve ever played but also one of the most stunning.
Course needs so up keep
The fairways and greens was wonderful but it had really high roof and all the course edges the cut back .All the bunkers need work and sand in them and weeds out of them. It is one of the hardest courses around my area but would like to see better upkeep
Fun but challenging
The course is in good condition. It has 6 difficult holes, 6 of medium difficulty and 6 that you had better make par or better. There is a lot of force carries. It has uphill, downhill, and side hill lies. Very scenic and certainly a good buy on the rate. Be ready to enjoy and be frustrated at the same time. A fun day.
Beautiful views but tough course
This course is tight, greens are fast. Very nice course
Unreal
Truly one of the best experiences in a long time. Is the course well known...no. Is the course expensive to play...no. Is it a long course...not particularly. But, it’s one of the most unique, visually intimidating, well manicured, challenging, and enjoyable tracks I’ve ever played. I’m also a scratch golfer who has played in several pga sectional events along with college and amateur nationwide.
Love golf? Hate yourself? This course is for you.
My husband and I have played courses all over the country. To call us “avid golfers” would be an understatement. The course might the hardest course we’ve ever played. It’s visually stunning and covers a lot of ground. The parking lot was almost empty when we arrived and we never saw other golfers. I think locals avoid it because it punishes you. There’s blind shots, never a flat lie, trouble you don’t see and more. Conditions are amazing but we lost balls we hit perfectly straight anyway. Fairways pitch sharply right and left and there’s surprise hazards everywhere. Don’t get me wrong, we had a great time. At one point we decided we’d celebrate double bogies. I’m not kidding. I had three penalties on one hole! It was the most fun we ever had playing badly. We don’t live anywhere near this course. We were traveling and it was not far off our route. I think it’s a must play ONCE, lol.
