Pace of play for a Wednesday was slow. But the course is in great shape for winter time. Greens putted really well. Lots of ground under repair but overall a great course

It was cloudy and cold to start but the sun and wind worked together and the back nine was much better.

The course is in peak playing condition now!!

This is my home course so this might be a little biased, but I’ve played a lot of courses from Baton Rouge to Slidell and nothing has beat Carter. Greens are the purest around and the layout is challenging yet fun. Most definitely recommend well worth the money. Also driving range is included in price so that’s great plus the chipping green is great and practice green are very true to all greens on course

This is happen multiple times on mondays or Weekends, when they have a special on GolfNow. The pace of play horrible! expect a 4-4 1/2 hour round. The starters don’t know what there doing, on many occasions have been delayed because the starter allowed groups he knew ahead of us. Nobody on the back nine but 6 groups piled up on the first tee. The staff are inexperienced and the starters are clueless. The course is in good condition but certainly not worth waiting every hole for 5-10 mins to tee off. Very disappointed.

Slept on this before writing this: First time playing this course with my golfing crew, we were looking forward to a fun round of golf! Unfortunately, the marshals and the “pace police” sucked all the fun out of the whole day! First encounter with the red flag cart just a few holes into the round, said we were behind pace (6 minutes to be exact) and told us we had to skip a hole. Not a pleasant interaction, and that continued throughout the round. You will get penalized, that’s right penalized, if you stop for the cart girl or stop at the turn. We paid $300 to enjoy a round of golf, but instead were treated like we were at work. I will say the greens were pretty good, rest of the course was so-so. I don’t write many reviews about anything really, but this ruined what should’ve been a fun day on the the course. Unless you’re a member or a regular, you won’t get the full experience.

The course is challenging but fun. Was in great shape. The staff is super friendly and helpful.. Lunch after in the restaurant was very good at a very good price.
