About Carter Plantation
Carter Plantation is located near Baton Rouge and features an 18-hole semi-private golf course opened in 2003 and designed by David Toms. The Villas at Carter Plantation, independently owned and operated from the golf club, feature 7 villas that can break out into 45 guest suites, so they are flexible for both individual and large group stays. Rooms include refrigerators and king or queen size beds. Some units have fully equipped kitchens and in-suite catering service is available.Facts

Loved It … again!
I cannot tell a lie … this course is great! I would prefer to keep it a secret but that would not be fair to the operators of the club. I’ve played Carter one and off for a few years and the conditions have never been better for them. Tee to green. The starter was a nice guy and the folks I got paired up with were very pleasant. And the greens and fairways … very good!

Course in great shape
My only regret is I didn’t spend much time in the perfectly manicured fairways. My tee shots seemed to be allergic to them LOL The course was in much better shape than my swing today. Staff was super friendly. Lunch there afterward was really good.

This is one of the best golf course that I have played on. The course was in excellent shape and well marked. I played the golf/ blue tees, which made the course a little bit more challenging. The greens are fast and can be a real challenge to the average golfer. The staff was great. Next time I am in the area, I will play this course again.

Great Time
Staff was friendly and the course was in excellent condition. Greens were firm and fast which is what I prefer.
