Carter Plantation is located near Baton Rouge and features an 18-hole semi-private golf course opened in 2003 and designed by David Toms. The Villas at Carter Plantation, independently owned and operated from the golf club, feature 7 villas that can break out into 45 guest suites, so they are flexible for both individual and large group stays. Rooms include refrigerators and king or queen size beds. Some units have fully equipped kitchens and in-suite catering service is available.Facts

Course is nice but SLOW play
Course is in great shape. Had three twosomes in front of our threesome. No idea why the didn’t join two of them together. All three were very slow. We had to wait 5-6 minutes on every shot. Round took right at 5 hours. Marshall was notified but seemed uninterested. Would play there again if we could get early morning first out tee time.

It was rained out and I did not receive my refund from golf now !

Course was in great shape with great facilities, and good track. Pace of play was a little slow for my liking but on pace per the course expectations. Greens were quick but honest, only issue we had was no cart availability upon arrival.

Amazing Staff! Amazing Facility! Amazing Course! Still my absolute favorite course in LA,MS and AL. Pace of play needs attention but that is the only thing anyone can say negative about Carter Plantation Golf Course!! Absolutely the best staff, facility and course that I try to play anytime I get the opportunity.
Just an awesome course
Great staff!! Course is always in great condition and the greens have a comfortable, true pace.
