The Wisp Resort’s 172 acres of ski terrain are heaven for winter-sports enthusiasts, but this resort offers so much more year-round. It is an outdoor playground for all ages thanks to Deep Creek Lake and an endless array of mountainous adventures: canopy tours, segways, mountain biking, a mountain coaster, disc golf, 36 holes of regular golf, gem mining, pontoon boat tours, whitewater rafting and flatwater kayaking. The Fantasy Valley and Lodestone golf courses both boast soaring scenery. Lodestone, designed by Hale Irwin, features some of the largest greens on the East Coast.Facts

Great weather golf day
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I love the layout they have some really scenic holes. I usually play this course once a year. Always the same time of year however the conditions weren't all that great. The tee boxes needed to be cut and the fairways as well. Plus none of the sand traps had any sand, just hard packed mud. Perhaps a few of them were washed out. A little too pricey for a resort course in my opinion. However my son and I still had a great time making memories. We made this a tradition so I'm sure we'll play it next year.

Nice, but Aerated Greens
Have played Lodestone numerous times in the last couple of years. Course conditions were better than before even after a few days of rain but the recently aerated greens were slow, bumpy and three putts were the norm for everyone in our foursome. I wish we would have been warned by either the course or by GolfNow in an "Aeration Alert".

Great course! Kind of wet in a few places but overall wonderful.

Beautiful course. Only complaint- greens had been plugged and putting was impossible, otherwise, course conditions were excellent.
Slipping
Absolutely one of my favorite layouts to play without a bad hole. Wildlife abounding. Views are fantastic. Unfortunately the courses conditions are declining with overgrown bunkers and loss of maintenance. Hopefully the building of High end new homes surrounding the course will impart a return to detail on the course. It’s a spectacular layout.
Great course
Although we had wind speed reaching over 30 mph, we had a great time playing a challenging course.

Course is a great layout and challenge
The course was in pretty good condition. We played the purple tees and probably could of moved to the back tees just to allow better access to and landing areas. Greens were good, very true and faster than they looked. Looking forward to playing this in the future now that I know the layout a little better.
