Grand Traverse Resort & Spa

Very overpriced course. Anthills everywhere, muddy fairways, uneven tee boxes. For $100 you should at least have some semblance of a quality golf course. The 12th hole was under construction and closed and we were given no notice before we got there. This is closer to a $65 course in the Grand Rapids area.

All three courses at the resort had leagues going on and were completely full….there was no way of getting 9 holes in within 3 hours….paid for 2 players for 18 holes teeing off at 6

Rough is treacherous and avoid at all costs. Most holes are carry only, not run-ups. Greens were in good, not great shape but reasonably predictable.

When I got there I was told that you cannot play hole #6 as it is being worked on so just mark par or bogey on the score card. Then when we get to hole #12 which is normally a short par 4, now it is a par 3 as the tee boxes are in the middle of the fairway. Also due to more work being done. You still pay a premium to play this course and it would have been nice to know that these two holes were under construction PRIOR to booking. I would have played somewhere else for less money. I like the course and have played it many times and just don't think it is right for them to charge what they are for what you get or at least make this info known before you book online.

Great day for golf at the Resort-Spruce Run Course. Wonderful staff from bag drop to check in and starter. Course in great shape despite renovations going on. 7th hole closed this date. Looking forward to playing again. Big time thumbs up!!!

I was very impressed. For an internal resort first nine it was very private. Lots of construction issues so it only played like 66 but still a great layout

Great course design. Slow - needs starter to keep pace.

Thought for early season the course was in good shape and had handled a few days of rain before. Staff as always was spot on in every category. Cart girls were also awesome

A fun course to play. Not as difficult as the Bear. Signage could be better. Got a great price on golf now.

Course was in great condition for this time of year. Greens have been pluged but still very playable - not as fast as usual but that's fine. Fairways and greens kept clear of leaves - rough, don't go there, gotta put the leaves somewhere! Shot 79, not my first 79 but finally age caught up to my score.

First- all of the courses ar Grand Traverse Resort were in excellent condition when I visited in October. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were emaculate plus they vacuum up the fallen leaves every day - so no lost balls in leaf piles.Wolverine is a super fun and fair course with yardages for every skill level.
