Gull Lake View Golf Resort

Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this course . This is our third GLV course after both Stonehedges. Lots of character using hills and lay of land. Been very dry in GR Rapids but lush here, I can see the low south end holes being wet after lots of rain. Very nice conditions and lots of workforce and attention to detail. Tree trimming, several COLD igloos water jugs which is not common. With TeeOff wife and I paid $58 total on Tuesday 9/16/25. Very friendly guys. We ate over at Stoaten Brae blue stem.

Will try east next but west was great.

The course was in great shape and the staff and all was wonderful. The clumps of grass clipping on top would be my only complaint but it wasn’t a large deal.

I have not paid Stonehedge South in over 30 years. The course was in terrific shape in spite of heavy play. The green complexes and course design are entertaining. The course feels like you are plain northern Michigan or the Carolinas.

The staff was welcoming and accommodating to my wife and I.

It was a great renewal of past memories when we first enjoyed Gull Lake together.

First of all, the course was nice and did offer me a hole out eagle on 13 for my birthday. With that said, I believe at $135 for a round, a course should be near perfect. Instead we were welcomed by grass clippings everywhere, even in the greens. Carts were subpar, and for the money your paying should have GPS or sand or anything other then a dumb usb port. I’m happy I finally played it, but probably would never go back based on this experience.

Gull Lake View Resort - East Course is in great condition. Greens are fast, but consistent. Challenging pin positions with lots of sand traps. I will be back!

Other than the group in front of us playing from the tips then proceed driving to the women's tees every hole. 10/10.

Only drawback from otherwise perfect day 5 hour round

Beautiful course! Just enough challenge but not frustrating. Layout is great easy to follow and gives you many opportunities for layups. I didn't get the older gentleman's name but he was the most pleasant ranger I have ever encountered! No lie! He was very patient and relaxed smiley just an all-around good guy. Trust me I've been in some courses where the rangers want to just rush you through the course and they yell at you for pace of play this ranger and course seem to spread out people just perfectly. I hate being rushed and have stopped going to some locations because it seems like the ranger has me on binoculars the whole entire time. You can tell that they really care about leaving you alone and letting you enjoy your golf! We didn't have anything at the term besides a bathroom break but at the end we went in the clubhouse and got chicken tacos and a drink. Amazing food and cute pleasant waitress! Prices were very reasonable and we got our food pretty quick after one beer. My only complaint would be they need to start knowing the lawn 2 hours earlier in the day. Before the turn the rough was pretty tall. When the mowers caught up it was a perfectly landscaped course. Mowers were respectful and pulled off and shut off machine to let us golf through. I am just so shocked at how pleasant, respectful and could tell everyone was simply happy to be there! As glowing as this review is I just want to say that I don't work for them or anything, this is my first and won't be my last. Highly recommended and I'm so glad that I just moved closer to this course!

Played for $45 including cart. It’s hard to beat the value provided by these courses. High quality track for an unbeatable price.
