Gull Lake View Golf Resort

About Gull Lake View Golf Resort
Since the 1960s, the Scott family has transformed 2,000 acres in southwest Michigan into one of America's largest golf resort communities. Situated in the appropriately named Augusta, Michigan, near Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Gull Lake View Golf Resort has become synonymous with affordable packages where golfers stay in comfortable villas to enjoy six different courses, all from different eras. The East and West courses were built in the mid-1960s and mid-1970s, with the two Stonehedge courses added later in 1989 and 1994. The family bought the Bedford Valley, a classic course known for hosting tournaments, in 1988 and then put the feather in the cap, debuting the linksy Stoatin Brae by Renaissance Golf Design in 2017. Those who fall in love with the experience can buy real estate in one of several neighborhoods.Facts

Great Track
The best of The Gull Lake View courses is Stonehenge South. It’s a great test from the tips at 6700 yds. Tree lined fairways and sloped greens in great shape
Very Slow Play and No Rangers
Our round took 4 hours and 40 minutes and not a ranger in sight. Never again.
More tee boxes
Course needs more tee boxes at various lengths. I’m 65 years old Some tee boxes were 100 yards apart or more. 311 yards is to close for a par 4 and 411 yards is to far for my age group. Need more play ability with tee boxes in the middle of 300 to 400 yards.
Most greens were large and very nice but the pin placements were horrible.
The price of $49 was fair but I would never pay any more than that for this course.
Greens are its defense.
Truly a magnificent Golf Course. Not a difficult golf course from tee to green. However, the green complexes of this golf course are outstanding and will result as a challenge to every level of player. Plenty of motion throughout the layout. Really good greens.
Decent course could use some maintenance
The West Course is a solid track with some interesting holes. Rough is friendly. The course and it's amenities could use some maintenance. The cart paths are crumbling, there were a number of bare spots and tire tracks in the fairways. Overall a good value but with some work could be great!
Where’s the ranger
The course is beautiful , towering oak trees and sand traps guarding every green and the sand is top notch. I was in several!! My only criticism is pace of play. Front nine - 1hour 50 minutes, back nine - 2 hours 30 minutes!! A ranger on the course would have really been nice. However, it going to be even slower for the groups behind us, As we were putting on 18 there’s was 8 teeing off on #16!!!
Where’s the ranger?
Great course, but play was PAINFULLY slow - held up by one group 3 holes ahead of us. Twice we had 3 groups waiting to tee off. One on a par 3 and one on a par 5. So where was the ranger? Saw him at tee off on hole 1 and that was it. Great course, but probably won’t be back again.
