About Gull Lake View Golf Resort
Since the 1960s, the Scott family has transformed 2,000 acres in southwest Michigan into one of America's largest golf resort communities. Situated in the appropriately named Augusta, Michigan, near Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Gull Lake View Golf Resort has become synonymous with affordable packages where golfers stay in comfortable villas to enjoy six different courses, all from different eras. The East and West courses were built in the mid-1960s and mid-1970s, with the two Stonehedge courses added later in 1989 and 1994. The family bought the Bedford Valley, a classic course known for hosting tournaments, in 1988 and then put the feather in the cap, debuting the linksy Stoatin Brae by Renaissance Golf Design in 2017. Great Course!
First time playing; excellent course; excellent facilities. Fairways and greens were top notch. The rough's were pretty dried up and heavily used. Lot's of sand traps! Bob the starter was very friendly and outgoing. Didn't spend much time in the pro shop, but everything looked real nice. Just a small snack shop with drinks. Will golf again!

I Recommend This Course
PACE: Excellent. Was a single, and had a 4some go out 30 minutes before me. I was able to play 2 balls and never catch them, or have anyone catch me.
CONDITIONS: Some dry spots in the fairways/rough, but otherwise excellent. The greens were faster than I anticipated... I was pleasantly surprised by that. Bunkers were good.
STAFF: Very friendly and sociable.
VALUE: I'm already looking forward to paying them another greens fee.
LAYOUT: This feels like an older course (built in 1965) and I love that. The greens are not too tricked up (though they are fast). Very few (if any) blind tee shots. And big bunkers built to splash your ball out of. I like how the course rolls through the terrain too. Lots of fun!

Always a fun course
My husband and I play Stonehedge North several times a summer, it's our favorite of the Gull Lake Resort courses. The course was in great shape, the rangers/starters on the course were both very pleasant and cordial. My only complaint would be slightly faster greens. Other than that a perfect day!!

Fun Layout, Great Views
Links style course set on top of a hill. Is it always windy? Many holes run up hill or down hill. Not too long, wider fairways than they look off the tee. Nice chipping areas around each green for near misses. Fun course to play. Grill is closed.
