Gull Lake View Golf Resort
About Gull Lake View Golf Resort
Since the 1960s, the Scott family has transformed 2,000 acres in southwest Michigan into one of America's largest golf resort communities. Situated in the appropriately named Augusta, Michigan, near Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Gull Lake View Golf Resort has become synonymous with affordable packages where golfers stay in comfortable villas to enjoy six different courses, all from different eras. The East and West courses were built in the mid-1960s and mid-1970s, with the two Stonehedge courses added later in 1989 and 1994. The family bought the Bedford Valley, a classic course known for hosting tournaments, in 1988 and then put the feather in the cap, debuting the linksy Stoatin Brae by Renaissance Golf Design in 2017. Those who fall in love with the experience can buy real estate in one of several neighborhoods.Facts

Great Course
Loved the course & condition. Great time. Challenging holes with some water.
Fun in the Fall
Played the north course the first of October with hardly a cloud in the sky. Played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours. Greens held well and putted true. Course layout was 3-3's, 3-4's, and 3-5's for each 9. South course is a more challenging layout and is visually more appealing but both are enjoyable to play. Will definitely play again.
try another course
weather was very cool and windy but course was excellent.
Scenic & Challenging Course
Second time here - and look forward to playing it again (soon I hope!)
tough course
For only being 6300 yards from the tips it played a lot longer. Many uphill shots to greens and most putts had large breaks. Still, overall it was a fun course but very difficult for the average golfer!
A favorite course!
Can always count on a good experience at Gull Lake View's courses, and I really like Stonehedge North.
Friendly, professional staff and super condition. Nice rates via GolfNow or GLV's website.
Would highly recommend.
Enjoy!
very nice i will play again
staff are very friends. we would like to play again when the weather nicer it was raining and cold that day.
Gull Lake East - Uphill All the Way
Beautiful terrain winding through the woods. Don't let the yardage on the card fool you into thinking this is a breeze; it's not. Most of the holes are uphill and most of the greens are elevated and well protected with bunkers...Fast greens especially downhill. Better be putting uphill. Nice touch is that they have the yardage posted on the tees to the edge of any water hazards in front of you.
Thanks for the great review! We look forward to your return to better your score!
Great condition
Beautiful course. I have played it for years. Course set-up is challenging but fair. Place of play is the best the area.
Beautiful course
Highly recommend this course, very narrow fairways and hilly. No water, but the traps and stones along the edge made up for the difficulty. Will be playing there again.
Easy course
Course was in very nice condition, except that traps had not been raked recently. Much easier than I had expected. No water hazards of any kind on the course and greens are essentially flat. But for $26 it's worth a look.
Moderately Challenging
Course was in great shape, friendly staff that pays attention to pace of play. Greens are slow, but thats not necessarily a bad thing. Some pin placements left for some winding, challenging putts
Fun
Gull Lake East is a better course then the west. The holes are more interesting and the conditions are slightly better. The East is not a long course even from the tips but the topograghy makes the holes play longer. My wife also enjoys playing there, however some of the ladies tees are sort of down in valleys requiring an uphill tee shot. Overall, we very much enjoyed playing This course as it is in a beautiful area and it is always very well-maintained.
PS. If you enjoy walking, this course is probably not for you. It has some very steep hills.
Awesome! We love hearing about your experience at Gull Lake View! Please come back and play again!
This course is extremly beautifull and challenging
This was my second time playing your course in 2 weeks because it was a fantastic challenge to my skills. The greens were well kept and fairways awesome to play on. I play as a single most times and hook up with others and the people they hooked me up with were very proffesional, courtious and just fun to be with. They were members and helped guide me through my first round there a week previous. The last group was equally as kind to me. I will play this course again and again when I"m able and look foreward to comming back!
Sincerely Greg Lawcock
Thank you for taking the time to review us on GolfAdvisor! We appreciate the kind words and we look forward to your return!
Stonehenge South
The course is always in great condition, I have played this course a few times now and the weekends are filled with many slow older golfers. The North course seems to keep a better pace of play on the weekends, it took 5 hours for the round with a group or two waiting to tee off on each hole.
Love this course
My wife & I played this course as a twosome on Friday. Also very nice staff and very well kept course. Everything from tee boxes, to bunkers, to greens in fantastic shape.
Only complaint had to do with a large group that apparently had an outing that day. Made things very slow and the group in front of us was playing
as an eight-some. I will say, however, that these guys did let us go through them when they realized we were only a twosome and we waiting on the tee box several times.
Would definitely recommend to others... and would definitely play here again!

Great for all players
The course was in great condition the greens were well maintained! Some challenging hole and others allowed you too attack! Tough pin placement this day lead to a satisfactory 79! I would recommend this course to all skill levels fun and challenging just know what box you should play from! Choosing the right color box will determine how much fun you have!

Excellent value
An "old style" course with "what you see is what you get" holes. No tricks, but a series of interesting and varied holes. Lots of trees, but not much thick rough, so finding wayward balls is easy. The greens were in great condition. Easily one of the best golf values in mid-Michigan if you are looking for a quality course.
