Gull Lake View Golf Resort
About Gull Lake View Golf Resort
Since the 1960s, the Scott family has transformed 2,000 acres in southwest Michigan into one of America's largest golf resort communities. Situated in the appropriately named Augusta, Michigan, near Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Gull Lake View Golf Resort has become synonymous with affordable packages where golfers stay in comfortable villas to enjoy six different courses, all from different eras. The East and West courses were built in the mid-1960s and mid-1970s, with the two Stonehedge courses added later in 1989 and 1994. The family bought the Bedford Valley, a classic course known for hosting tournaments, in 1988 and then put the feather in the cap, debuting the linksy Stoatin Brae by Renaissance Golf Design in 2017. Those who fall in love with the experience can buy real estate in one of several neighborhoods.Facts

nice course, but....
started our round at 7:37 in the morning and our cart started to die at hole 11. Had to push the cart the last three holes. won't be back.
Unique blend of challenges
We love the layout of the North Course because it has 3 par threes and three power fours and three par-fives on each 9. The course was manicured to Perfection, as usual. We will be back to play as soon as possible
Great course!
Great course for the money.
West Michigans Best
Played the east corse perfect day, course was in great shape, greens were perfect. Was hitting the ball really good with makes any round good. Really a great course, will be back with my friends.
Professional course
You can't find a better course for the money. Challenging but fair. Excellent condition.
Top Notch Course in West Michigan!
I have played all of the Gull Lake View Courses with the exception of the new Stoatin Brae opening at the end of July. I have to say the East Course is probably the 2nd most challenging course but it also has some of the best scenery. Speed of play is usually not a problem at the GLV courses. Our round Saturday saw us come up on one slower group that let us play through. On busy days, the course rangers are periodically checking on speed of play and offer friendly suggestions to slower players. There are multiple cold water jugs placed throughout the course, several drink vending machines, and on busy days a beverage cart makes the rounds. You cannot go wrong with the East Course at GLV. With lots of water holes and unbelievable scenery...especially in the fall, you will fall in love with the East Course as well as the other 5 courses.
Big greens and fast
Best public course in the county. Very challenging fast greens long track.
Delightful
A must play for all who think they can play golf. Go play!
Woooooo
Great course. Very well maintained. Don't know if I would pay full price to play here but definitely worth it with the hot deal. Will be watching and waiting to play here again
Challenging
This is probably the most difficult of all the Gull Lake courses. Stay out of the rough. Great day!
Fun Track
We played on a perfect day weather wise and got a good deal on Golfnow. The course is great. There's elevation changes, large greens and a friendly staff. I will definitely play it again.
Slow play
There was very slow play. Multiple groups on one tee box. I was by myself playing and just stopped after 12 because of slow play. Seemed to be a group outing that they should have closed the course for. Staff was extremely nice and good. Was a cold blustery day so couldn't tell to much about the course conditions. I've played here multiple times, this was first not so good experience. Would still highly recommend this course. Great challenge!
Good conditions
I had a lot of fun playing this course. The greens were in great shape, especially this early in the season. The staff in the pro shop were extremely friendly.
Another "Great Scott" course !
Bedford Valley is another great course for all skill levels. Well manicured, beautiful, and good layout. It's in our weekly rotation cause we love playing there. Food is delicious, staff is wonderful, and very accommodating. Put Bedford Valley on your list.
wonderful
this is what golf should be
beautiful course, played 18 holes in less than 3 hours
Richland, MI is a golf destination!
While Stonehenge South is only one of what will soon be 6 golf courses in the "Scott Collection," I feel it is one of the most beautiful of them. It has a woodsy feel all the way around and will challenge all skilled levels of layers with 5 sets of tee boxes. (Choose your poison folks!) A wonderful golf destination.
Unique blend of challenges
The West course has a blend of challenging par 3's, dog legs, cut through the woods holes, uphill and downhill holes, reachable holes, and wideopen-grip it and rip it holes. The course is well manicured and a beautiful ride through the woods.
It is yet another "Great Scott" course to play !
Great course
I really enjoyed playing this course. It's a medium on difficulty level. It's not very long and you can score well, if you stay out of the trees. That's the most difficult part of the course. My only complaint is something the course can't control and that's the buzzing from electrical wires above on a couple of the holes. It's so quiet and peaceful that the noise is very noticeable. Other than that the course was in great shape and I would definitely go back.
Great course
This course is very well maintained, challenging but fair, and offers five sets of tee boxes to accommodate all levels of golfers. Part of a five course group and all five are well worth playing. Played in late October in MI with sunshine and 60*F which is a blessing. Even saw a buck chasing a doe across the fairway on hole number 11. Great time.
Excellence!
I've played just about every course in the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area this year and Bedford Valley was the best value of this year! I am a member at another course in the area that has highly touted greens.... Bedford Valley's were better. In fact, they were the nicest greens I've played on this year! The rest of the course was simply stellar. The staff was great, the course was great, play moved at a good, quick pace and I had a wonderful time... until I added up my score. Which speaks highly for BV's challenging nature. And speaking of nature, the course is beautiful. The ol' girl might be a bit of a drive, but she is the forgotten jewel in the Scott's family crown! Hats off to the staff and crew who work there! Thank you for the attention to detail. Mowed roughs, manicured sand in the traps, plush fairways, and excellent greens.... It doesn't get any better than this! Thanks Bedford Valley!
