About Inn at St. John’s
This unique property became a golf resort in 2006 when the former St. John's Provincial Seminary reopened as the Inn at St. John's, a boutique, four-diamond property adjacent to the 27-hole Brae Burn Golf Club. The 118-room inn features Romanesque architecture, two ballrooms with 25-foot ceilings, a two-story atrium and 22 meeting rooms. The more casual Burger Loft complements the fine dining 5ive Steakhouse and Bar. The course, dating to 1923 before a third nine was added in the 1990s, shares its site with Carl's Golfland at St. John's, one of the country's premier golf stores. There's also a covered, heated range at Carl's to bang balls year-round to prepare for your battle with "The Monster" - the nickname for the 666-yard 13th hole, the longest par 5 in the state.Facts

Average Course
Average Course. Absolutely ridiculous 610 yard par 5 with a dogleg left AND right on the same hole. People don’t fix their divots so the green is bumpy in places. The pin placement is just stupid on some holes. Literally gives you no chance because the slope will literally just push it in the water. Not kidding, two holes where your ball will roll right in the water due to slope.

Tight with many hazards. Could do without the 610 yard par 5 that is ridiculous.

The greens were super fast and difficult with poor flag placement. Worst was the smell , this place is across from a GFL trash dump and at times the smell was unbearable

Great Course
We are a group of Canadians that play in the states twice a week and we enjoy playing Brea Burn at least twice a year as we play many different courses throughout the year but we have not been able to play the last 2 years as we can't cross the border. Maybe next year I hope

Start with having a 9:00 tee time and no one showed up to open until 9.Maybe it was the cold or some other reason but I was alone in the parking lot.
Course is in good shape but greens are very difficult .
If your above the pin 3 putts will be plenty..Pin placements are very unfair. WHite tee boxes are very long. Would have played the silver but no markers.
For the rate I was Satisfied but not thrilled.

FIRST TIME PLAYING IT
this was my 1st time playing Brae Burn and I found it very challenging as to the layout of the holes as there are several blind shots on your approach shots to the greens like hole 18 you have to hit over a hill to a sloped back to front green and in front and to the left there was a pond that you don't see .... also where the pins were placed and the speed of the greens today ( FAST ) and sloped a 4 foot putt could end up 5 or 6 feet behind the pin ... so I had 5 ....3 putt greens as some pins placements were in my mind not fair to the average golfer .... but I would play this course again as the leaves were on the ground and we lost 4 balls due to the leaves in the fairways

Fun course. The “Monster” is a fun hole. Leaves everywhere so expect to lose a few good balls. I lost probably 6.

Garbage course.
Paid for 18 holes couldn’t even make it thru 9 holes. Terrible golf course. Most holes the tee boxes are literally in the way of at least 1 hole and people are hitting over you to get to their green. Way over booked, not taken care of, and the view of the garbage dump tops it off. Not worth 40 bucks.
