About Inn at St. John’s
This unique property became a golf resort in 2006 when the former St. John's Provincial Seminary reopened as the Inn at St. John's, a boutique, four-diamond property adjacent to the 27-hole Brae Burn Golf Club. The 118-room inn features Romanesque architecture, two ballrooms with 25-foot ceilings, a two-story atrium and 22 meeting rooms. The more casual Burger Loft complements the fine dining 5ive Steakhouse and Bar. The course, dating to 1923 before a third nine was added in the 1990s, shares its site with Carl's Golfland at St. John's, one of the country's premier golf stores. There's also a covered, heated range at Carl's to bang balls year-round to prepare for your battle with "The Monster" - the nickname for the 666-yard 13th hole, the longest par 5 in the state.Facts

Some tough holes with hazards hidden for 1st time players. Pin placement was challenging.
Great course
Idk why people are hating on this course. I played in the morning and everything was in great shape. Sure there are some divots at the tee box but if you’re willing to overlook all the positives for a manageable issue, then you’re a fool. I do wish there were more par 5s instead of so many long par 4s but that is just because Im booty at golf

Just a great place
I think this course is a hidden gem, its not a PGA level course but I'm not a PGA level player. Excellent value. And the Monster can be played many different ways.

Needs Serious Updating
Cart paths are in horrible condition which makes it worse when they state "Cart Path Only". No way to get to the 11th Tee Box (White Tees) without serious detour/difficulty. There were no directions. The walking bridge on Hole 3 is atrocious and needs to be replaced. Course drainage is very poor. Due to road construction over a year ago, the main entrance was shifted and now does not match the parking/traffic lanes to get into the facility safely. Simple things like directions/signs to tee boxes, cart return, etc. are not present. I would not recommend this course to anyone. It is as if they are about to close it so they are not fixing basic things or planning a better future. They would be better off selling it for development.

First time playing this course and it was great. Well taken care of course, with challenging greens. The layout may seem a bit repetitive to fantastic players, but it is a true challenge to play for the champions tees. The 13th hole is a nearly 700 yard par 5 with two dog legs, very fun. Would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys golf.

Nice course layout
Course is very challenging,only problem is they absolutely packed the course.Golf outing in morning and they sold tee times right after outing.Took us 5 1/2 hrs to play 18,literally sat 10-15 mins every hole.Also greens were all aerated so ball was bouncing all over the place on greens.Was one of my favorite courses growing up,very disappointed.Probably won’t go back

Pretty Bad shape - needs major investment
Looks like it has little investment for many years. Front 9 were in horrible shape. Would not recommend for the money they are charging. There are many better courses in area. Could potentially be a nice course again with some substantial investment. Wound NOT recommendl unless heavily discounted.

I’m all for a “beater” course, and this is without a doubt a beater. It’s short and sort of fun, but to charge $27 for nine is a joke. I won’t be back at that price. If it was $27 for 18 I’d be back for sure.
