Lutsen Resort

About Lutsen Resort
Lutsen Resort On Lake Superior sits where the Poplar River meets the largest Great Lake (also the second-largest lake in the world). The historic resort – home to lodge rooms, log cabins, townhomes, Sea Villas and Poplar River Condos - overlooks a large pebble beach of a secluded, private cove where swimming, kayaking and fishing are perfect summer past times. The Scandinavian architecture offers a special charm. Romantic dining comes courtesy of the Waterfront Dining Room. The resort fee allows for complimentary 9-hole pitch and putt golf, disco golf, shuffleboard, indoor pools and hot tubs, live music on the beach and nightly bonfires with smores kits available at the front desk. The scenic 27-hole Superior National at Lutsen is a “driver and a 7 iron” away from the resort.Facts

course was in excellent shape. Great time of year to play
Beautiful course
Really enjoyed. Great Scenery overlooking Lake Superior. Greens were a bit bumpy as they must have been recently aerated.
The colors are out
Course is in good shape and the colors were out already on the ski hill. As always, the scenery is great and even better with the turn to fall!!!!
Needs work
Beautiful layout but course is in average to poor condition. Greens are In especially tough shape and had been cut/seeded In the week we were there. Way overrated and overpriced for the experience we received.
Aeration Season
Loved the course. It met my expectations. The only down side is that it’s aeration or extreme verti-cut season… but it was still a great time.
I will play it it again, and I’m looking forward to putting real greens.
Superior National
The course was in great condition. It is one of the gems of northern Minnesota.
Price
Too expensive and staff isn’t overly friendly except for guy cutting grass. He also left balls in rough for guests.
Excellent fathers day weekend round at Superior
Beautiful course and layout with great pace of play. Greens were nice and little bit of brown grass due to lack of rain in area in May, but overall top notch experience.
Superior National combines beautiful surroundings with interesting holes and good course condition. I love hitting out over the lake
Lutsen golf
Great course and very scenic!
GREAT TRACK!
What an awesome golf course. Canyon nine is unreal, some amazing holes. Great staff; fair prices. Good range. Just a really nice course that is challenging and fun to play with the river and mountains running through it on seemingly every hole. Greens were full
And lush but a little slow, really wish they were faster but also not June yet so I understand. Can’t wait to back in peak season to play the fast greens.
All the hole were backed up for some reason. Had to wait about 5 or so minutes at the last few holes to tee off. Otherwise the course itself is very nice
Superior National
Truly superior! The course is in outstanding shape. The best conditions of any course in Minnesota. The greens are fast! Played solo in 3 hours! Wished I lived closer than the Twin Cities. Fall colors are perfect.
