Nice course but over priced. No GPS.

The course was hilly with fair roughs. Greens were large and challenging. Overall the course was very nice, but way over priced. The water coolers were empty in the afternoon on a hot day. At the turn the snack attendent was asked to notify the club house that the coolers were empty. Back 9, coolers still empty.

love Payne Stewart

We love the clubhouse. We loved the layout. We were disappointed with the condition. Unfortunately we were not informed at any time that they were airfying fairways and greens the day we played.

The is good but was cart paths only

Nobody was there to take the clubs from our car and no one was there to clean them or place them back in the car after play . For a course that costs so much they are missing some of the finer things that one expects. Due to the rain it was cart path only and they offered us no other alternative. Such as a pass for the next day when conditions would be better.

My favorite course of all...anywhere.

No two holes are the same, and the layout is such that you seldom see players on another hole. The ball sits up on the zoysia fairways, and the bent grass greens are near perfect. It is probably not a course you will enjoy playing the first time, as there are blind landing areas on several holes where you may think your tee shot found the fairway only to find yourself in the rough, which is not forgiving. There are bunkers fronting the greens on 5 and 6, requiring good drives and very precise shots to the greens if you want to have a chance of making birdie or par. 18 is a very difficult uphill hole, and the green is not visible from the fairway. You will need to be a very good player to par that hole, let alone birdie it. There is a hidden bunker at green 11, and the green itself is not visible on that hole, in addition to the hole being quite long from the blue tees at 558, with an uphill approach. 7 is the only hole on the course I would call easy. All in all it seems to me the slope is too low for the challenges the course presents compared to other courses I have played.

The outside staff was very friendly and helpful.

Due to recent rains, play was cart path only, and it is not a course you want to play under those conditions unless looking for a real workout getting from the fairway back up to the cart path at some points on 10 of the holes.

Extremely slow play

Staff does not manage the pace of play. We had to call the they did not speed it up any. Had 3 groups on a hole at a time. Play in afternoon for fewer golfers and it's cheaper

Difficult but Beautiful

PSGC is without a doubt the most challenging course I have ever played! From the fairways the course is very receptive, but get a little stray with a tee shot and big numbers will follow! The course is absolutely gorgeous and the Payne Stewart memorabilia in the clubhouse is worth spending some time to look at. Overall I loved this course! (even if I shot a 92 as an 8 handicap)

Great course for better players

This is a very nice course for Branson, MO. This is a difficult but fair course with some narrow fairways, blind tee shots, blind approaches to some greens and thick fescue rough. However this course is very well maintained and great course for a intermediade to advanced player. Hope you have you game on if you play this course, it's fun

Very challenging course, true greens!

This was my 2nd time playing here, and I liked the course even better than my 1st time playing it! The course is in great shape: well-manicured fairways, THICK rough, and fast greens that roll true. It is a bit pricey, but if you can find a "Hot Deal" jump on it because this is a can't miss course in the SW Missouri area.

Payne Stewart Course is a real test

I played with my three sons and we had a great time. It is a good thing I talked them into playing the "Silver" tees It gave us all we could handle. There are a number of blind and elevated shots that really test your skills. The clubhouse is magnificent. In fact, my be one of the best I've seen. We thoroughly enjoyed the round but it is a very tough track and not recommended for inexperienced golfers.

Great challenge to serious golfer

A challenge to the serious golfer, you must be careful what tees you play from. I enjoyed the day, however it was not and easy round.

What an awesome golf course

Courses like this cost a great deal more in other areas. I can only assume since it's located in an area with older tourists limits the play: thus the reasonable price. I can almost guarantee you will enjoy this course if you try it out.

Maintained well and super staff.

My daughter and I enjoyed this course very much. It was well maintained. Sand in traps need to be loosened up. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

The course was beautiful.

Saw some turkeys. The course was brutal. I was tired when I finished. !8 was one of the toughest holes I have ever played.
I am glad I played the course. I should reword that last statement; The course played me. Ed.

Excellent course but not recommended for the beginner

Challenging and GREAT course but not for the average golfer. Large undulating greens and narrow fairways are not always forgiving. Must keep the ball in play (fairway) to have a chance to score. The course was well maintained. We played from the "Green Tees" at 7046 yards and had a blast.

Great course!

This would be a 5 star if pace of play was what was told on first tee box, 4 hrs and few minutes. Greens fast and tricky. Blind shots. Simply a roller coaster thrill ride!

Multiple elevations and blind shots make this course challenging, but fun.

The course is very scenic throughout with multiple elevations and blind shots. Hole number one is elevated a hundred feet or more overlooking a winding fairway and is difficult for the first timer to make a club selection (driver or something less). Every hole had its own set of challenges with breathtaking views. A few holes restriced the carts to cart path only and with all of the elevation changes, it was very exhausting for those of us who do not always hit it down the middle.

Golf course is really nice and challenging. The only thing I hate is they have no GPS on the golf cart.
