Another wonderful course!

Rolling hills with great elevation changes along with water and creeks running parallel as well as crossing the fairways makes this a very challenging course. Wonderful is all I can say!

Breath taking views

This course is one of the most beautiful you will ever play. The Ozark landscape in beautiful. Many streams and beautiful waterfallls. All natural not man made. The course is in great condidtion. You will remember this round of golf for a long time. I suggest you play the combo tees or the silver unless you are a single digit handicap. This is a tough course.

Don't play early, workers on every hole, bunkers not raked, greens not cut and therefor wet and slow. Great layout, elevation changes, great condition

Worth the money, a must play. Not cheap, but typical for Branson area.

Exciting layout!

The course has significant elevation change, makes club selection tricky. Probably the time of year, but it needed some maintenance in places, and the greens were still sporting aeration holes that made delicate putts pretty random.

1 of the 2 best courses in Missouri here in Branson, MO

Payne Stewart is an excellent golf course from all angles. The course is beautiful and challenging. The ozarks are in full view all around the golf course. One word of caution, if you are not the straightest of hitters you should either bring alot of balls(12-18...seriously) or try another course in the area.

Very scenic, challenging, course

Great track with some very challenging holes, and many good ones. Several semi blind shots were very costly, but I would really enjoy playing this course again. The course was in very good shape, especially considering that I played in mid November .

Great character and beautiful views.

My first time to use Golfnow and what a treat. I received terrific value and the course and staff were great. I travel a lot in retirement and will continue to use Golfnow. Thanks.

This course has great views and great holes but is also extremely challenging.

You have to pick the right tees blocks for you ability for starters but you should also pick them for the approach shots as well. Quite a difficult course and a few holes which I think are a bit unfair, but overall worth the play.

Beautiful scenery, great layout.

Wonderful experience. Beautiful time of year to play golf in the Ozarks. Friendly, courteous service. Best golf carts with onboard GPS. Good food and drinks in Knickerbockers. Only negative was that the greens were a little bumpy, but overall a great layout, lots of elevation and interesting character.

Beautiful setting. Challenging for this senior.

We played it on a Sunday in mid-October, and the trees were turning. Beautiful setting and course. The greens were a bit rough and had bare spots. Had rained the night before, so no carts on fairways. Very slow pace and crowded. Overall, a good experience, but a too long for this senior, even from the senior tees (and I wouldn't be caught dead playing from the ladies tees).

Very tough course.....be prepared to be a mountain goat. But fun.

Tight and narrow. Miss the fairway and you're either in long rough....or on rocks. Many greens are similar on one side or the other.

Don't be intimated by distances....more of your shots are downhill versus uphill. I usually play tees in the low 6,000's. Fellow I played with urged me to try the blues.....6,700. Due to downhill nature of the holes, really played less than 6,700.

This course is well-maintained. Wonderful fairway grass! Challenging tees and greens. Beautiful scenery made it a wonderful day of golfing!

Everything about this course is first class. Our foursome from Iowa were in agreement that the grass on the fairways was like playing on lush carpet.
Every course has one disappointment.... and the fact the carts did not have gps systems was a bummer!
Our group will play Payne Stewart again next year.

You take what you can get in the fall.

Payne Stewart is my alltime favorite golf course. It amazes me that it isn't even the top rated Branson course by some of the golf magazines. There is no close second in my book. I understand that work needs to be done to maintain the course, but I'm disappointed that I saw some of it. I won't let that keep me from coming back. There is a group of us that plays several rounds there each spring and it's always fantastic! I hate that I can't give this 5 stars right now

Beautiful & challenging

The course layout is great. No two holes look alike. No two shots the same. Plaques that tell some of Payne Stewart's life story & memorable shots are on each tee and very interesting. Easy to see why it's a top raked Missouri course.

This course has a good variety and challenging holes.

We enjoyed playing this course. We felt that hole #1 needed some improvements. The approach shot was very difficult. We liked the variety of holes, both long and short. Some of the holes provided options for your tee shots and approach shots which made it interesting. We would play it again.
