Very tight course
Very nice setting. Well maintained. Very friendly staff. Very tight course. Was 9 hole converted to 18. Felt cramped most of the time. Not good signage for where next T Box is located. Often a ways away from previous green. Al in all hade a good day of golf and I would go back in the future.
good play
greens where wonderful all but one but that was because they had just redone it fairways where not great but course was working on improving this
Good value course
Par 68 but had several long par 4's. (>390 yards).
Greens were excellent but the burmuda fairways had a rough winter like most of the other courses in the area. A good value course.
Friend
Great place to bring a friend. No pressure. Best for Seniors that still have GAME!
Fairway & green fringe terrible
All 18 holds have several areas of the fairways that were mud/dirt/no grass, very poor condition often had to move the ball to a playable location. Most of the greens had several rounds of patched sod surrounding them at some point, again often having to move the ball to a playable location or choosing to chip when normally would have putted. Some bunkers with larger rocks, some totally torn up and not able to play from. Made us get/pay for an additional cart for having a two year old rider with us, have never experience this befor.
Terrible course
The course was in terrible shape. They have lost so much grass they had planted new sod on every hole and around the greens. Would never play that course again or recommend it. We even looked at their website and it said nothing about the course being under repair. Please be aware of this courses conditions before selling anymore tee times. Thank you
unusual
The course, usually in fine shape, had severe winter kill. Fairways are in very poor shape, greens are OK.
It is nice course for my wife to play- very easy but also quite enjoyable. We play it often, but it has never been in this shape. It will take some time to recover.
Good golfing, poor score!
Love the course, been playing here for over a year! Staff very friendly, greens excellent, fairways coming on. Wish my score was as good as their greens! Will continue playing here and recommend others to play here too.
Fun course to play
Course well laid out and has GPS on the carts - greens are good and putt well and true - a few challenging holes and at the cost represents a good value for the money.
This course is forgiving.
The brochure for the course indicated that the course is a friendly, forgiving course. I found this to be true. The fairways are relatively wide with a few trees, many of them smaller, and there are few water hazards. The fairways were brownish and slanting, many times in a misleading way.
Overall I enjoyed my round and found it a good way to get back into the swing of the game after a winter up North.
It's marginal....
Played here many times. No walking allowed, short course, with lots of local history. No driving range, yet the staff has told the same story about building one for the last 30 years. No restroom at turn, and hole #10 is an abomination. Tight fairway, sloped to the right, but no grass to hold even the best shot. The green will not hold any approach, and past May is always in such bad shape it would be better to play as a temp green. 11 is just as tight, and has bad grounds on left, but it is a well designed, challenging hole that can be mastered, but it takes some experience.
The starter, desk help and marshals are local, compensated by golf types, and most are friendly. Some don't know the starter runs the first tee and when you walk on as a single the desk help freak out and get very negative.
Most of the course is nice, wide open and relatively easy.
Ok Not Great
A lot of mostly flat holes that were not very memorable. There were a few nice holes on the back. 10 and 11 are kind of tricked up though and rely mostly on luck rather than skill. Condition of the course was fair. On a positive note the greens were in very nice shape and rolled true. I only played 2 courses in the area and this would rank a distant number 2. As the title suggests it is ok but I think there are better choices available.
Slow As Christmas
The pace of play was extremely slow to say the least. Groups in front(members) refused to let faster players play through. This continued from front nine into the back nine. I may never come back and will let others know that members are not in the spirit not follow rules. Must be nice.
Rude pro shop staff
Rude pro shop staff. Not worth the money to have to deal with rude staff like that. Will never play there again !!!!
Good course at good price = good value
Played 3rd weekend in March, 2014. Weather was cool with brisk wind. Course was in very good shape for this timme of year. Greens excellent, fairways still dormant but bunkers were nicely raked. Nice facility and course at a good price = good value for the money. I had a relative from So. Dakota playing with me, he thoght the weather was great.
Cold Windy Day
The course was in good shape on the late January day that we plated it. Winds were 20 mph and temperature was low 50's. Greens rolled very well. Only problem that I had was number 10 was on a temporary green (probably should have been mentioned at the pro shop before the round.
Best Value in Branson
Holiday Hills is a great course for people traveling to Branson. Very open course with a lot of unique holes. It does narrow up quite a bit on numbers 10 and 11. The greens were very true and well maintained. I would highly recommend playing this course to anyone visiting Branson. Can't beat this course for the money you pay.
for winter, great condition
Enjoyed the experience, challenge. The course plays very fair.
Course was well maintained
Fun course somewhat shorter played over 5000 from the blue tees. was fair but you better practice your sand shots there is plenty of sand! Had fun will definitely play it again
For November, this courses was in great shape. Very efficiently managed.
We truly enjoyed our round. Staff were efficient and friendly. Paired up with a fun couple which made the day memorable.
