Good Day of Golf
Good day of golf. Played one of my best rounds. Course is good shape. Greens in good shape. Pin placement was difficult at times.
Player Unfriendly
I thought this courxe was one of the worst set up courses I have ever played all three of my playing partners agreed that we would not play it again if the greens fees were zero. Every Tee Box and Green was placed in such a way as to make the cart path as unmanageable as possible. In every instance you either truged uphill 20 or 30 feet or downhill 20-30 feet. The course was total unfriendly towards those playing it.
Great Place to Play
I really enjoy the course layout and playing hear. Great value for your money.
Great Afternoon before an Evening Show
Holiday Hills has fairly narrow fairways with fast smooth greens. My wife and I played in less than 3 hours and enjoyed our afternoon very much. This being our first time playing the course I now know why #10 is the #1 handicap hole. it is a dogleg right narrow fairway sloping away from you to the right and tree lined on the left. Still managed a par. I would recommend this course as for the price and condition. It was a well spent afternoon of enjoyment and fun.
A real nice round
In Branson on vacation. Wanted to find a reasonable round of golf. Real glad that we chose holiday hills. I think it would be tough to find a better value for your money in this area.
Stan
Course was fun and greens were in great shape. very good value
Nice for the money
Course was in really great shape considering the heat during the past few weeks. Hole layouts were good with a couple of exceptions (those two were hard to play without local advice). Greens were in really great shape, rolled very smooth and good speed. I would recommend this course and plan to play it again!
review
Course was in very good shape. Fastest greens I have ever played on.
nice course
This is a very nice course for the value! We added it to the list of courses we play when we visit Branson. Not too crowded and if it is the slower groups allow you to play through.
A good round for a traveller
I had a very enjoyable round at Holiday Hills. I also thought that the booking through Golfnow was easy peasy and well worth the time to sign up and enjoy the discount. I used rental clubs, a solid set of Ping standards and purchased a sleeve of balls and a souvenir HH logo ball as back up. I wasn't intending to play on my short trip so I didn't have my glove, but wore a light duty work glove which worked great!
Happily I was joined by a resident and frequent player of the course, Don, who was great company and certainly a fun partner with great course knowledge. Very helpful for some of the blind spots. Travis in the Pro Shop was accommodating to my late start and I am thankful that arrangements were made so I could finish the round of 18 and get the rental clubs back to him.
I will say this, I am from Los Angeles and I am always happy to meet folks and enjoy the kindness of strangers and yesterday was no exception here in Branson at Holiday Hills. A very enjoyable round, I played pretty well and enjoyed the challenge of a few of the holes. The fairways are indeed narrow and more than once I found myself playing off of an adjoining fairway, sometimes to an advantage.
My only complaint: The lounge closed pretty early (5pm) so we could not get our 10th hole cold beer as we passed by the clubhouse, as well as our 19th hole refreshment to part company and enjoy that age old fellowship around the
"watering" hole.
Rainy Day..
The title tells the story, lot's of rain throughout the entire round. We did enjoy the course though. It has some very scenic holes and was well maintained.
We will definitely play this course again.
Good Course for the Money
I have played this course many times. It was not in as good as shape as usual. The weather has been hot and dry lately.
Course played well despite conditions.
Tight and poor condition
This is a short 18 with the tee's and fairways very close together. Keep your head down. My cart got hit 3 times. The condition of the fairways and some green s were pretty bad.
Fun layout
Nice layout. Grounds grew is working hard on improvements. Pro shop was not friendly at all
Great value
Great little course for the money. Would play again
A very enjoyable golf afternoon
This course provides challenging conditions but fair results. Pin placement put a premium on shot selection. Great afternoon of fun golf!
Great course
Great course but needs driving range for proper warm up!
this course was in very good. shape.
Its was in very fine shape had been a little dry but is coming around nicely. GPS in carts with score keeping. Let you order food on start of hole 11 but when we got there only one order had been started out of three with only one person ahead of us with one order for him. Very disappointed with that but all other services very nice.
Would not have played but had a HotDeal on GolfNow
Overall I play lots of golf. I have been to great golf courses and horrible golf courses. This course was not horrible but also wasn't great. It's very short (I hit driver maybe on 6 holes). The holes are so close together you have people playing from all over the course. Wife almost got hit 2 times in OUR ON FAIRWAY! I had read one review where someone loved it. Apparently they have never played a real course. For the value, they had a coupon I found for 2 can play for $70. I found on golf now 2 for 29 each. If I had paid the full $70 plus tax I would have been mad! I wanted to play at The Payne Stewart golf course (found a coupon 2 for $99) but it was raining except one day and we had to hurry and make a tee time. We settled on this place. Overall narrow fairways very short holes but fast greens that was a plus. Sand traps had tons of rock in them so we usually lift cleaned and placed in rough outside of the bunker as to not to damage clubs. Staff was ok. NO WATER ON ANY HOLES! What's up with that? Anyway please play elsewhere if you come on vacation to Branson.
Fun time
Had a great time. The pro shop staff was nice but the girl in the bar was really rude both days. Other than that we had a great time.
