The Red Hawk Golf and Resort in Sparks sits in the Spanish Springs Valley outside of Reno, Nevada. The resort community offers 36 holes on two courses - Robert Trent Jones Jr.'s Lakes Course and Hale Irwin's Hills course - plus a fitness center with an outdoor pool. The Villas at Red Hawk pamper guests with plenty of space and modern decor. David's Grill at the clubhouse serves up three meals a day.Facts

Pleasant day on a well priced course
Just a well maintained course that is a good test for the average golfer and beginners as well staff were very good and friendly good value and good course
Geese everywhere.Too much. Get rid of them
Geese or not an endangered species.
The golf course is completely invaded by geese everywhere.
The fairways and the greens are suffering because of the geese. They crap everywhere and it’s almost impossible to take your shot in certain areas of the golf course because of the goose crap.
Time to eliminate the overpopulation of geese that are destroying our local golf courses.
From now on all the courses that I play that are invaded by geese are going to get a negative review until something is done to correct this completely invasive species.

The pace of play at this course is ridiculously slow and the always overbooked the tee times.

Have played the course many times. Always in good condition.
Very solid course. Greens were very fast and smooth.
Smoke from fire, slow play due to tournaments
We tee'd off during the hottest part of the day and it started out smoky from the California wild fires but got much worse by the end of the round. The whole round took about 5 hours due to the slow play from the two (2) tournaments that started earlier. By the time we got to the back nine there were 3 groups waiting on the 11th so we turned around and played Hole 10 again. Course was in beautiful shape. Starter was really nice
Love Redhawk golf courses!
Redhawk has two 18 hole courses. The hills and the lakes. Prefer the lakes on windy days for obvious reasons. The hills does have a couple big downhill holes that with the right wind direction are a blast to send em on. Golf cart girls are always awesome.

The course was in very good shape. I thought they had more trees, it was over 100 degrees and very, very hot.
Best Public in Reno/Sparks
Great course! Tough hazards and definitely not the kind of course for beginners but overall manageable for slightly more experienced golfers.
