RedHawk Golf and Resort

Grass was only in okay condition and we’re barely even into the heat of summer yet. Sand traps were in horrible condition.. I’m talking worse than $30 Sierra Sage. Three of the five employees we came into contact with had horrible attitudes- the only cool folks were the marshal and the cart girl. The pro shop attendant, starter and bartender were all complete a-holes. We were also stuck behind an unannounced women’s tournament that took nearly SIX HOURS to finish 18. Rather than paying $120 per round for this nonsense we’ll gladly never come back and instead get two or three wonderful rounds at Sage, Washoe County or Sun Ridge, all of which are just as nice and have gas carts with far more comfortable seats. This place is insanely priced for no reason to speak of. One and done

Read some reviews and should have headed the warning : the bunkers are a joke . I guess you'll be ok if you never hit a fairway or greenside bunker .

Fairways sketchy. The greens were in great shape. Would have been extremely disappointed if we had payed their normal peak green fees.

My sister and I enjoyed red hawk from the beginning to the end. The staff was amazing. Everyone we encountered were friendly and had great insights on the course. Will be visiting the course in the future.

This is a great course in the Reno area not too far from the strip in the hotels I have played both horses and decided to play on a Monday and it was extremely slow in the afternoon and no apologies from the Marshall just to well that's how it is sometimes. I explained I came in from out of town to play his horse and it was well thank you but sometimes it's slow and you just have to wait so believe I will be checking out another courses next time I'm in Reno.

Played Red Hawk Hills recently, and while the round wasn’t bad, it certainly didn’t justify the $130 green fee.

The course itself is... fine. Conditions were average—greens and fairways were playable but nothing special. The layout didn’t stand out, and the overall experience felt like something you'd expect from a $70–$80 course, not one charging nearly double that.

Pace of play was slow with no visible course management, and the amenities were underwhelming for the price. No range balls included, carts were basic, and clubhouse service was minimal. At this price point, you expect at least one element—course quality, service, or scenery—to be exceptional. Unfortunately, none of them were.

Red Hawk Hills isn’t a bad place to golf, but if you're paying $130, there are better values elsewhere. Wouldn’t rush back unless the rates come down significantly.

This course is fine, but they're charging way too much for it. Hence all the open tee times compared to Duncan courses. Course is in reasonable shape and pace of play is ok, but for $100+, I'd rather go play Whitehawk or Grizzly Ranch. If you can get on this course for $80, it's fine, but it's not worth what they're currently charging.

Elevation changes are dramatic. That is the most interesting thing about the Hills course.

Fairways had bare spots, greens were in great shape and rolled true. My biggest issue playing the course for the first time was many of the uphill approaches to the greens were almost invisible. They just blended into the surrounding hills.

I found the layout pretty average, nothing that really got me excited.

The course for middle of June in Reno was outstanding. Water hazards are full and beautiful. The sandtraps could use a little work but maybe that's because I was in them all day. Overall, great experience all around!

Not too difficult. Windy conditions on many of the higher holes. Greens were in really great shape.

Disappointed in the greens which were bumpy and scarred. The sand in the bunkers were not kept up and very crusty

We did have a good time for 9-14 holes!!

The wind won this round of golf.

We will play again when we are in Reno.

Cool layout, nice change up from the lakes side. Some areas of the course were still recovering from the winter but the greens were great and the pace was very good! Played both courses on the same day so the rounds averaged out to $89/per player.(replay is $35). Will be on my list of places to play again In Reno!
