The Lodge at Edgewood Tahoe

About The Lodge at Edgewood Tahoe
The 154-room, LEED-certified Lodge at Edgewood debuted in June 2017, completing a long-term vision to have a lakeside lodge to accompany the famed Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, a George Fazio design that hugs the lake and serves as the home of the American Century Championship, a made-for-TV celebrity golf tournament every July. Families can bounce between the hot tubs and heated pool to the small beach on the lake. The wall of windows in the three-story great room overlooks an events lawn of outdoor fire pits and ample spaces for children to run free. Although the hotel's restaurants are great, Brooks' Bar & Deck at the golf clubhouse overlooks the lake and the 18th green, a setting that can't be beat.Facts

Wow
First impression walking in you are treated like a star. From start to finish the experience is worth every penny, every hole is unique and water is involved in seemingly 2/3rd of the holes. Started at 4:30pm and just finished 18 at the beginning of June. After the round thought we would grab a quick bite at Brooks bar, they were very gracious to seat us at 8:55pm on a Tuesday. Best club sandwich and fries I have ever eaten. I wanted to go back the next day for lunch but our trip was ending!
One small gripe is I was in Tahoe with my girlfriend on a special trip and wanted to spend time with her and they charged $50 for her to ride along and watch. If anything I should have paid her $50 to come along. Seemed unnecessary for a 4:30pm tee time, but again every penny spent was worth it for this memorable day.
Everything I Expected and more
Always wanted to play the course after watching on TV and it was great. Practice facility was excellent and the course condition was fantastic. Greens were super fast leading to some three puts. I was in trouble numerous times but did not lose a ball. Scoring was not good however I did par the famous 17th so I claimed victory.. I don!t usually pay this much for a course but will say it was well worth it. The only criticism I had was that I had an early tee time (first to go off) and had to haul my bag to the cart and wait for the pro shop to open delaying getting to the range.
Tahoe golf
The course was absolutely immaculate. Perfect day to play golf. However, the bluegrass that they have on that course was brutal for me to hit out of.
Edgewood Tahoe Golf
The day I played the weather was perfect. 75° with almost no wind. I was met by the valet immediately when I pulled up. He gave me directions and time to get my things together. I went to ck.in and the staff were super friendly and helpful in directing me to the practice area and starter, who was equally chill. The course is fantastic. The greens were true and fast. Fairways, bunkers and tee boxes immaculate! The pace of play was great until the turn when a phantom group appeared on the tenth tee. No worries we just kept our gap as even as possible. I would definitely recommend playing this course, regardless of skill level. It was a bucket list item for me!
Beautiful Views
One of the most beautiful courses I have ever played. Views are breathtaking and holes are awesome. Elevation changes, sand traps and water make this course challenging. Must play to fully experience it.
JB’s Review
I played Edgewood for the first time on May 27th. The course was in amazing shape and the staff was helpful and friendly. We were here on my son’s senior trip and it didn’t disappoint!!! It was probably a once in a lifetime trip but we are already trying to figure out how to get back to play Edgewood Tahoe again!
Lived up to the expectation
To start the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the range was in great shape. Played as a single and was grouped up with three members and they were very nice and gave some tricks to the course. Played Saturday at 8am of Memorial Day weekend and played a 4:15 round. Will definitely play again.
Great views and layout
The course is beautiful and in great shape. The layout is a good track and very playable.
Supreme golf
I recently had the privilege of playing at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada, and I can confidently say it’s the best course I’ve ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, the entire experience was nothing short of extraordinary, blending breathtaking scenery, impeccable course conditions, and a challenging yet rewarding layout that left me in awe.
Nestled along the shores of Lake Tahoe at over 6,200 feet above sea level, Edgewood offers a setting that feels like a postcard come to life. The snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains frame the course, and the crystal-clear waters of the lake come into play on several holes, most notably the stunning closing stretch of 16-18. The par-5 16th, with its tree-lined fairway and lake views, sets the stage, while the par-3 17th—playing right along the water’s edge—is as thrilling as it is picturesque. The par-5 18th caps it off with a risk-reward finish that had my heart racing. I’ve never played a course where the scenery so perfectly complements the golf.
Designed by George Fazio in 1968 and later refined by Tom Fazio, the course is a masterpiece of balance—challenging for low handicappers yet approachable for all skill levels with four sets of tees (ranging from 5,343 to 7,529 yards). The fairways were lush and pristine, like hitting off a carpet, and the greens were lightning-fast but true, demanding precision and rewarding well-executed shots. The bunkers, strategically placed and filled with soft, fluffy sand, added to the challenge without feeling unfair. Playing at altitude gave my drives a little extra pop, which was a fun bonus, though it took some adjustment on approach shots.
What sets Edgewood apart isn’t just the course itself but the entire experience. The staff was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of the course’s reputation. The complimentary valet service was a nice touch, and the facilities, from the pro shop to the practice areas, were top-notch. Pace of play was well-managed; our round took about 4.5 hours, with no delays despite a busy Friday morning.
Yes, Edgewood is a splurge—green fees can reach $350 in peak season—but every penny felt worth it. My only minor gripe was the price of concessions (a $4.25 soda felt steep), but that’s a small quibble in an otherwise flawless day. The course’s history, having hosted events like the 1980 USGA Public Links Championship, the 1985 U.S. Senior Open, and the annual American Century Celebrity Championship, adds a layer of prestige that made walking these fairways feel special.
Edgewood Tahoe is more than a golf course; it’s a bucket-list experience that lives up to the hype. It’s now my gold standard for golf, and I’m already dreaming of my next round. If you get the chance to
Beautiful Course Layout
Beautiful course, The staff was great and over the top hospitality. The pace of play was great and overall a great experience!
omgivelser. Terning kast 6😎 vi kommer tilbake men
da blir vi 4 dager.
