The first: Par-4, 407. Hitting from a high tee, you should enjoy this view before the day’s opening drive over the Ammonoosuc River. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/18/2021

Six: par-5, 523: The first-rate par-five plays straightaway, but be aware of the angular fashion by which its bunkers are configured. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/18/2021

Eleventh: par-5, 542. A dandy of a par-five. The vintage hotel adds to a pleasant backdrop. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/18/2021

The thirteenth, a par-4 of 411. Maybe the most sophisticated hole on the course, it puts up strong scoring resistance. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/18/2021

14: Merely a 242-yard, stupendous par-three to a reverse-Redan, wildly sloping green--preceded by a modest strip of fairway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/18/2021

18: Playing over the river, this 434-yard closer features a huge greenside bunker, nearly invisible from this view. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/18/2021

Exceptional views, great track and magnificent restoration to original desisn
Not a bad hole on the course,Pro shop staff understands customer service.Best service I received anywhere this year.Conditions were just below pristine due to heavy previous rains and aeration a few weeks earlier. Overall the conditions were very playable and enjoyable. The views are incredible, bring a camera. We teed off early so pace o play was outstanding. Only drawback that course played a little to long for the women in our group.(Could see they were building and moving some of the forward tees to rectify that). Keep it up.Next time in the area will definitely come back.Should be a must play for any golfer. Put it on your list
Wow what a day!
I heard about this course from some folks at owls nest and they told me that its shape was superior to it. I wanted to see it for myself.
I got of at 700am with a super deal, including cart. There was no one else playing the course. In fact I didn't see one other group until the eight hole. I zipped around in a little under 2 and half hours.
The course was beautiful from tee to green, just perfect, you couldn't find a bad lie. It had the conditions of a private course. Great layout, with enough design to mix it up and present challenging and easy shots alike. I can't say enough about the layout and conditions,
Stunning views of the mount Washington hotel, and the rolling white mountains were the background. Compared to owls nest, the views were not as much eye candy, although I enjoyed this course much more.
Super friendly staff and a nice complex to explore as the hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the proshop. Had a fantastic day and will for sure go back again , my favorite course I've played this year
One of the Best
Played this course Sept. 1, 2013 and had a fantastic day. Pro shop is well-stocked and staff is super friendly. The starter wished us luck as we teed off on #1 and we proceeded to have a great round. The course was in great shape despite taking on some rain the night before; fairways were wide and well kept and the greens rolled well. There is a bit of room for error off the tee on this track, but there are a number of well-placed fairway bunkers that can cost you a stroke. You can see most of the bunkers from the tee, so you know where to go, even if its your first time. You can enjoy views of the Mt. Washington Hotel from a number of different spots on the course, and the par 3 14th, which is 200 yards of carry downhill over a fescue-filled ravine, will truly test your mettle. Overall, one of the best courses I have played in the Northeast, and the early-morning GolfNow deals are a great way to play this track.
Pro Shop play games with Golf Now tee times!
I made a tee time for 9:30 from many availabilities on Golf Now. I received and printed my confirmation. The day before my reservation i got a call from the Pro Shop informing me that my tee time had been already booked and the only thing they could offer was 7:30 or 11:20.
I've spoken to a number of people and was told this is a common practice by the Mt Washington golf course. It was a fun place to play and the scenery was spectacular but I'm not sure it was worth the aggravation.
Great views and fun to play
I have played the course a few years ago and I still find it a lot of fun. Great views and very playable.
A "best" course in New Hampshire
Always enjoy playing this course. In perfect condition. Keep your play on the fairway!!
Excellent value!
We found the Mount Washington course in excellent playable condition. The staff was very cordial and helpful. The views are gorgeous. We would definitley play this course again. GolfNow provided a great value price on this course!
Great course. Great conditions. Great value.
First tee time on Labor Day weekend and played in 3.5 hrs. Course in excellent condition. Greens fast but fair. Restored to Ross conditions can be seen. High grass around bunkers are a bit unfair - you can't find a ball. Staff friendly and bar nice for a beer post round. Will use golfnow to play here again.
A fantastic Golfing Experience
A fantastic golfing experience, one not to be missed. I had the pleasure of playing 2 days of pristine conditioned golf with a fellow reviewer below. . I give this course my highest rating and because of the great deals on both days, I am now a believer in Golf Now. The truest green possible and penal rough force one to take their medicine when they miss a fairway. Not only did we pay a small sum for this great experience, but to end the day we saw two moose on the road beyond the entrance that capped a fantastic golf escape week.
Thank you Mt Washington and Golf Now.
The best scenery of any course in New England!
Great day at Mt. Washington! Super friendly and super efficient staff. I was booked by myself, so the starter let me go off alone. 2:20 18 hole round! Course was in great shape, and the greens were probably as fast as I've played all year. I usually find at one area where there's room for improvement, but not here. Course is a classic which gets a lot of play, but looked like a private club! Fairways and tees were in great shape, also.
Very beautiful course.
It's a beautiful course but for a high handicapper like myself I found it hard. I would however at a later time give it another try. It's a great value for the $45.00 I paid. My partners found it tough as well but would also give it another try.
The scenery on the golf course is absolutely amazing and beautiful.
The hardest part of the course is the fescue which is very tough to get out of.
Great value
Always wanted to play this course. Players pass made it possible with the great rate.
A New England bucket list course
The course (both it's design and condition) and surroundings were spectacular.
The only negatives could be that the land is a bit multi use due to being tied in with a resort, so there were horse and bike caravans and hikers encountered on the paths every once in a while.
Conditions were excellent. Greens and tee boxes were well kept. Service was top notch. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great time.
One seasoned hacker and three wannabes on vacation read GolfNow reviews and decided course was worth traveling 110 miles to play; very pleasantly surprised to find course in near pristine condition. Due to connection to the resort hotel on site staff was very attentive and service great. Course itself was fun. Some challenging holes. We had a great time; were jumping all over when we had a hole out for eagle on a par five. Definitely would play again.
Great views, beautiful course
The four of us had lunch there first and had a well paced round. The views were spectacular and the course was well maintained. We had a beautiful day. We would all go again.
Donald Ross Gem
Spectacular course with great views. Tees and fairways in great shape and greens were fast and true.
twilight hot deal cannot be beat!
ok, I've played most new England resorts. Avid purist golfer. UNMATCHED views and conditions. If you played here 15 years ago, you won't remember it. That said, It's a links masterpiece. greens true and fast.. penal rough and beautiful gorse lined bunkers demand your attention. can't say enough, through online reservations were a breeze. course allowed us out early due to forecast of rain. came back next day, same treatment. It's a must play.
Nice course, great views, challenging holes.
Started my round great, weather was wet, course dries fast for most holes (watch out for #9). Back nine seems more challenging, you need to place your shots, some blind.
Great views of the mountains and valley.
Renovated Donald Ross course
I have played the Mt Washington course many times in the past, however, the course conditions this year are the best ever. The course is a joy to play and the greens are fast and true and in excellent condition. As an extra bonus, the views of the hotel and the mountains are outstanding.
This is the best time golfing you can imagine , scenic mountain beauty.
Great time in the mountains ! Smooth perfect greens and fairways!
