Crystal Springs Resort
About Crystal Springs Resort
Crystal Springs Resort is a 4,000-acre playground located only an hour across the New Jersey state line from New York City. It is one of the country’s largest golf resorts with six courses - Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades, Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey – and three driving ranges. The Grand Cascades Lodge houses 220 guest rooms with an inspired welcome: An outdoor putting course leading to an indoor lobby with high ceilings, wood beams and a stone fireplace. Both it and the 175-room Minerals Hotel feature their own spas and pools. Children will love the Biosphere, an indoor pool complex with an aquarium, vortex pool and caves, 140-foot waterslide and café, all in a tropical theme. Twelve restaurants are spread out among the course clubhouses and hotels, delivering a variety of menus and price points. Between the Mineral Sports Club and Adventure Center, there’s always a new activity or program to enjoy.Facts

Horrible green condition
Even in the airification, comparing other course ,
It was the worst ever.
Golf now should notify that condition.
Nice but tough
Course was in great shape but is not for beginners or even average golfers. . Need precision irons.
Close but no Cigar
Family was playing in sand on par 3 15th.
Dad looked like he was looking for gophers.
PACE OF PLAY
SLOW AF. It was nearly a 5 hour round. We spoke with a few staff but they didn't seem bothered. It's probably business as usual for these courses that do 8 minute or less intervals.
CLOSED
How can you sell us tee times when it’s closed. But still charge ?
Spring rate best money you can get!!!!
Course conditions was okay except sand
In the bunker was awful..no ranger a group in front of us was slow.. every hole we need to wait.
Wild Turkey
Course was in great shape and the staff was very friendly
Good conditions for early March. Glad they stayed open this winter.
Winter Golf
For winter golf, it was as good as it gets. Paired up with another single and teed off at 8:30. Finished at 11:45. Played through 1 foursome. Some tee boxes were frozen and you needed an above ground tee. Greens (as expected) were shaggy and slow but overall not in horrible shape. I love the course but prices every where have been nuts lately. I believe this is a $100 course in prime condition. While it felt expensive considering the conditions, I love the course and layout so it works for me.
Nice course
Played in early December. Very few people on the course.
Other then finding the location of the first tee, the layout was very nice, some holes more challenging than others. I look forward to returning in the spring.
Noice
Tough but awesome. Don't expect to shoot your lowest score. But enjoy the views and make some hero shots.
Great Views
Challenging but forgiving. Keep an eye out for bears
