Crystal Springs Resort is a 4,000-acre playground located only an hour across the New Jersey state line from New York City. It is one of the country’s largest golf resorts with six courses - Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades, Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey – and three driving ranges. The Grand Cascades Lodge houses 220 guest rooms with an inspired welcome: An outdoor putting course leading to an indoor lobby with high ceilings, wood beams and a stone fireplace. Both it and the 175-room Minerals Hotel feature their own spas and pools. Children will love the Biosphere, an indoor pool complex with an aquarium, vortex pool and caves, 140-foot waterslide and café, all in a tropical theme. Twelve restaurants are spread out among the course clubhouses and hotels, delivering a variety of menus and price points. Between the Mineral Sports Club and Adventure Center, there’s always a new activity or program to enjoy.Facts

Spring rate best money you can get!!!!
Course conditions was okay except sand
In the bunker was awful..no ranger a group in front of us was slow.. every hole we need to wait.
Wild Turkey
Course was in great shape and the staff was very friendly
Good conditions for early March. Glad they stayed open this winter.
Winter Golf
For winter golf, it was as good as it gets. Paired up with another single and teed off at 8:30. Finished at 11:45. Played through 1 foursome. Some tee boxes were frozen and you needed an above ground tee. Greens (as expected) were shaggy and slow but overall not in horrible shape. I love the course but prices every where have been nuts lately. I believe this is a $100 course in prime condition. While it felt expensive considering the conditions, I love the course and layout so it works for me.
Nice course
Played in early December. Very few people on the course.
Other then finding the location of the first tee, the layout was very nice, some holes more challenging than others. I look forward to returning in the spring.
Noice
Tough but awesome. Don't expect to shoot your lowest score. But enjoy the views and make some hero shots.
Great Views
Challenging but forgiving. Keep an eye out for bears
Challenging but friendly
The course was in excellent shape. Staff are always great.
Good...
Working staff average. Carpet only. Green was good.
1. There are No hole sign with yardage. So you don’t track down how many hole you have been played? Then you’re lost. Make white to get rangefinder for this place because there are no yardage mark. You have to guess. For example) you don’t know you’re hitting par 5 or par 4. Obviously, you could easily identify par 3 HOWEVER, you have to guess the yardage for that par 3. There are no hole sign with yardage.
2. Confusing!!!! First they have foot golf hole with white flag middle of every hole. This is not dedicated golf corse. They are combined with foot golf. So I guess some season they are doing food golf???
And on the green. There are 2 flags all the time. One flag is for regular golfers. And other flag is for junior golfers. They are different color flag but still, every single hole has two flags. And one with jr. Flag has bigger sized putting hole for junior players. Yes, I guess it’s family friendly course. So!!! Every hole has 3 things going on. Food golf flag, junior player flag, and regular golf flag. Three thing combined into each hole.
3. Golf cart’s break doesn’t work well. They would need to maintain the golf cart better. Also, that 4 people riding cart on every website they have? The guy told me they only have one. So if someone is already riding it then you’re out of luck for that 4 people golf cart.
4. The course are built inside the condo. So you re playing condo that people live. So if you don’t careful. You could break the window or disturb people who actually live there.
Thanks!
Columbus Day golf
Black Bear is a nice course. Was able to get a tee time on a Monday holiday and used my hot deal coupon code. Pace of play was slow but the scenery was great
Hate the layout and deplorable condition
This was such a disappointment . More driving the golf cart than actual playing . The course could be decent but the condition is dreadful , fairways were punched , Tee boxes are not flat , and awful condition ., holes are spread so far apart that could not get a flow . You will be driving on sidewalks and cross at least 2 streets to get to the following hole. 3/ 10 in my opinion
