Love the course and the vineyard landscape
This is my second time playing the course. It was as good as I remembered last year. I like to add this to my mix of courses while I stay at the Marriott Fairway Villas. It offers a great balance of challenge even though there are plenty of open fairways. The course was in great condition for mid-summer hot season. The tee boxes were in great shape and the greens allowed for smooth rolls despite other players leaving spike marks all over the place. I look forward to coming back again, hopefully soon.
Fun and wide open
Balls in the air 6:39, threesome. Done at 10. Wide open fairways but some tough pin placements. Had a bunch of three putts or could have really went low. Friendly staff and def course you can go low on. Crab grass rough was kinda gross.
Nice Course. Inconsiderate Players
My wife and I played here for the fourth time this season and while the course is starting to show some wear, the worst part are the golfers that do not know how or even try to rake bunkers or fix ball marks. We followed someone who didn't know how to pick their feet up on the green and proceeded to rip every area that they walked on. You could see exactly where they putted from on every hole making putting difficult and bouncy even after tamping down the ripped areas. The cart girls are nice and the halfway house is perfect. We like going in for a drink afterwards at the bar next door but haven't had too much luck with the food. We will definitely keep coming but hoping that the golfers start taking some pride in the game.
Good course to play
Course was generally in good condition, enjoyed playing the course. The staff was very nice and helpful. The biggest problem was pace of play,, took a little under five hours to complete our round. We did a lot of standing around, especially on the back nine.
What a change
My golf group and I stopped playing here about 5 -6 years ago since the course had deteriorated to a cow pasture . The new owners in 2018 ,a hospitality co, understandably put initial money into the event venue first and then started addressing the golf course later on . I started to hear good things this year and decided to give it a try . What a pleasant surprise . Still has some improvements to do , like fixing the bunkers and a practice range , but so far so good . It was an enjoyable day .
Course was just okay. The layout of the course is good, with the back 9 having the more challenging holes. Course conditions need to be improved for the price that they charge. The rough was non-existent. Greens were on the slow side. Traps and fairways were in good condition.
Great potential but needs TLC
Layout was good, fairways were wide, and greens were VERY challengingly. If you had more than a 15 ft putt, you were probably facing at least 12” of break or uphill/downhill. Rough was poor. Mostly weeds and dirt patches. Fairways were very thin. Like hitting off a mat. No driving range.
Not taken care of
Pretty crazy they get away with charging $135 for this. No range, gravel bunkers, fairways are horrible with patches on every hole, 60% of the “rough” is just dirt with weeds growing every 2 feet, clearly uncared for all around. Should be legitimately $45 max. Horrible conditioned course
Not worth it
Flat out not worth the price of admission. $139 for an old dog track w a new name.. I’d much rather pay a little extra to hav and enjoyable experience at a nice golf course.
Good course
Better pricing compared to shore courses that are not close to these conditions
Would play again, the fairways were in excellent conditins, greens were good but very dry and slow
