Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

2nd visit
Played here earlier in the season, today some of the tees are in rough shape, starting with #1, and the par 3's.. Might be better off mowing some grass off to the side to get a better stance. The fairways and greens were in fine condition. It was a beautiful day to be on the course.
Seaview Pines
Usually play Bay course but tried Pines for a change. The greens were very nice and the fairways were in good shape. It was a change but would go back to bay in the future. The Pines is a nice traditional course
Beautiful views. Well maintained course. Definitely more difficult course for a beginner.
Great Track
Love the Bay. The greens were fast, even after rain. The course is in great shape. Only thing that would have made the day better is if it weren’t cart path only; although I must say it was justified.
Management should clearly advise when children and training by parents is the priority. First thing they need to teach their children is the concept of ready golf and time limits. Left after 7 holes. Good idea but players behind us were really upset.
Maybe they should play on first nine holes with parents and other golfers can play the back nine.
Suggestion not criticizing
Pines doglegs
After 20 years we returned to the Pines course. It’s an interesting layout with a number of very challenging sharp angled doglegs protected by trees traps and rough. Greens and fairways were in good condition. Rough was thick and difficult. Tees however were in poor condition. I would definitely play here again.
Sunday golf
Greens and fairways were in very nice shape. Was definitely disappointed in some of the tee boxes. They were very torn up. Some were mostly dirt and bumpy. Other than that it was a great round. Greens rolled very nice.
Tee boxes
They have lost half the tee boxes! I don’t know why they can’t keep grass on them!
Quick round
Had early tee time and finished in exactly 3 hours. Course was in great condition even though it was wet. 18th tee box was really beat up. Greens were fantastic and quick even in wet conditions. Starter could keep some comments to himself but rest of staff was great. I’ll be back again
Great layout
Short but challenging course. Great views. In very good shape overall- the bunkers were not great on some holes but a lot was due to the recent torrential rains. I really enjoyed this course and would definitely play here again. Reasonably priced for what it is.
Great course
We really enjoyed Seaview Pines. Course was in excellent condition and the staff couldn’t have been nicer.
Well maintained
Although heavy rains saturated the course the night before I found conditions to be very good except for the sand traps which seem to be terrible every where. It was cart path only conditions so I walked. It is a great walking course with very little elevation change. Greens were smooth and although not fast the ball rolled true. The rough was not the place to be but still at a depth where you had a chance of finding your ball. The Bay is always a challenging course to play and I keep coming back every year hoping to finally figure out the formula to play it well.
Poorly Maintained
First time playing this course. Have played sister course (Bay) many times. Conditions are not even close to being the same. Pines is poorly maintained and not worth playing. Pay the extra to play the Bay.
Seaview Pristine condition
With the upcoming LPGA tournament scheduled for next month the course is in pristine condition (bay course). It is always a fun experience to play at Seaview
