Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

The greens can make you look silly
The old-school Donald Ross greens were in perfect condition and devilishly fast. The LPGA is here next week for their tournament, and I have even more respect for their talents. There are many obvious hills and swales, but the subtle breaks around the hole are amazing.
Historic and traditional.
This is a great course with good mix of holes and challenges. Beautiful tree lined golf course with fast greens and manicured fairways and bunkers The ruff will punish you especially when you hit it far off the fairway. Tour the facilities and locker room for the history. Some long par 3's. I don't know how they hit 1 irons this far in 1942. Get a deal and enjoy your day. Play is fast (can be less than 4 hours).. I prefer the Pines over the Bay course.
Beverage Cart Ignored Us
throughout our round, we were passed by the beverage cart twice. Both times we were either standing near our carts by the path or on the green. Both times, the woman driving the cart made no eye contact, didn’t say a word to us, and didn’t even stop or slow down to see if we’d like anything. The first time she passed, I wasn’t too concerned as none of us were too hungry. The second time, I myself was very thirsty and coughing because of the excessive pollen this time of year, was very hungry, and had been waiting for the second time for the cart to come by. Very inconsiderate.
More golf-related, the course is always beautiful and very challenging, had a good fun round otherwise.
Solid Ross Public
Only Donald Ross Public you can play in NJ. Views of the marsh / water/ AC are great.
Course conditions were good.
Tired old resort course
The Pines layout is a tired old resort course that lacks maintenance, a poor layout, and not one memorable hole (your round ends with two 200-yard par 3's) One would expect great conditions in early May but not here. The trash cans were overflowing and I almost broke my ankle getting out of my cart onto ancient cart paths. Typical Troon management. I won't be back.
Overpriced!
Clubhouse and amenities are beautiful.
The course feels neglected. Nice layout, but needs some sprucing up. Pricey for thst course
