The MCM Elegante Lodge and Resort in Ruidoso is adjacent to the Links at Sierra Blanca and the one million acres of the Lincoln National Forest. With 64 suites and 54 rooms spread across three floors, the 75,000-square-foot hotel offers free hot breakfast, private balconies, in-room fireplaces, full kitchens or kitchenettes, two-person whirlpool tubs, Bath & Body amenities, a saltwater indoor swimming pool, open air patios and outside guest grills and a firepit. The adjacent White Mountain Recreation Complex sports two tennis courts, two pickleball courts, four basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, a 2.9-mile track for walking, running or cycling and multipurpose fields for baseball, flag football and soccer. Front 9 closed
Front nine closed for maintenance. Played back 9 twice which slowed play. Would have been nice to know before being committed to this course.
Nice Public Course in Ruidoso
Such friendly staff from check in to the starter, ranger and beverage cart lady! Totally enjoyed the front 9 with less than two hours to play, but a slow foursome with too many beverages held up the entire back 9. The ranger did say something once, but it did not improve. Still had a lot of fun. So many moguls…we got a work out in this altitude. Some parts of the course back up to industrial sites and roads with road noise, but overall a nice afternoon of golf. Both hubby and I snot good scores for our first time here.
Outstanding
All the employees are friendly and the course is well kept and a challenge. The difference between the outward nine and the inward nine makes a wonderful golf course. Play it. You will not regret it.

Nice course but the wife says the cart paths are too bumpy; needs paving!
Great Course!
Tough but fair. Played from the tips and didn’t seem too long. Awesome weather and scenery with the mountains and trees.
Outstanding course conditions and interesting layout
Played for the first time today (Aug 2022). Probably the second best course I have ever played on. I cannot imagine better grass in the fairways. Every fairway was perfect. The rough was mounded with difficult grass; not heavy rough, but wispy and a few inches tall. The mounds that bordered many fairways were a challenge; first to avoid them, then to hit off them. The greens were soft and receptive and the ball rolled smoothly everywhere. The contours of the greens provided plenty of challenging putts. Greens were mid speed … not slow, but not too fast for a mid-handicapper to handle. Pace of play was a bit slow, but 73 degree weather in mid-August made this tourist from hot Texas enjoy a slowish round of golf.
Fun Course!
I got to play a round with my grandson on this fun course a couple of days before Thanksgiving. It was a perfect course for our level of play...not too hard and not too easy.
Course conditions were good and the staff very friendly.
Beautiful layout with view of the mountains. A very enjoyable round of vacation golf!
Great Course & even better Staff
Having played the Links for a number of years, I can't
say enough about the staff, course condition and the
course itself.
It is always in the best condition that can be contributed
to the grounds staff.
Great place to play
Great course. Great and friendly staff. I have always played the course when I was in Ruidoso. We play in a tournament there every year also when we are there for the All American Race. If you ever change anything please consider a full bar..
