The Hyatt Regency Long Island is home to 358 guestrooms and suites, many of which overlook the Wind Watch Golf & Country Club. The hotel offers a heated indoor pool and hot tub and a seasonal outdoor pool as well. The 24-hour StayFit Gym features various courts for tennis, volleyball and basketball as well as all the necessary strength and cardio equipment. The Nu Restaurant and Lounge serve up a menu with a variety of cocktails, entrees and small plates. Supply and demand: location, location, location
The location of the course is very convenient to a whole lot of golfers and there’s the rub. Right off the expressway in the middle of densely packed Long Island. They can get away with charging a relatively high price for a public course. It’s a pretty good but not great course. It’s interesting but not compelling. Conditions are good considering how much play it gets. You will probably enjoy your round, but be prepared to open up the wallet for the convenience.

Short of being in a private club, this is the next best thing.
Well maintained course, great staff and a real fine restaurant. It is great to be able to enjoy a wonderful club in these trying times.

Pleasant track with challenging holes
Great condition. Good value. The only complaint I have is the 18th hole. Very strange layout. A little bit too strenuous and dangerous to walk from cart, path down strep hill to reach the fairway.

Tight, beautiful, challenging course in L.I.
Beautiful course. Reminds me of many courses I've played in PA & FL (golf course holes laid out within houses/residential community). Tight course, with plenty of hazards and water areas in play.
A bit steep, price wise, but not so obscene.
Friendly staff, tip top golf carts... 18th hole layout is a tough uphill trek! This course is definitely a course to use a cart (a lot of distance in between many of the holes).

Pace of Play
Two issues. Pace was slow and staff did nothing to move it along. It took well over five hours for the round. Also a manner of our foursome has to cancel due to flooding resulting from storms the previous night. Staff said they couldn’t do anything. We were just looking for a rain check for that player not a refund.

In great shape
The course was in great shape. The course is not long but it is narrow. You are rewarded for hitting straight shots but go off the fairway 10-12 feet and you will be punching out from under a tree. The greens were rolling great as well. The staff was very friendly. The pace of play was what you would expect at a public course, 4 1/2 hours for 18 holes. I would definitely recommend the course.

Look for a deal
Course is bit pricey but it’s well maintained. If you get a good deal then well worth the time and money. This is not a forgiving course. But fun to play
