a good test for many levels of play
This course has a selection of tees which make it playable by many golfers regardless of their skill level. It will challenge the aggressive but offers bail out opportunities to the less advanced.
The course condition is always excellent with fast smooth greens for a public venue. It drains very well and will tolerate a lot of rain.
Practice facilities are an excellent addition to the experience.
Generous fairways and smooth greens
Well manicured greens, tees, and fairways. Clubhouse service is excellent but kitchen was not ready for full menu or weekly specials.
great challenge and friendly staff
Only thing missing is gps or better yardage markers high rollers like me dont want tp get hit by balls because of yardage inadequacies or really lack of info, i probably would have liked a menu advertised, . Ypur course is the best challenge out there, make it easier for the avrrage joe. Thank you mr bock and staff. The senecas should be proud of you
One of the Best in Niagara - USA and Canada
I normally golf in Canada in the Niagara Region. This course is top 5 easy of both Countries. The practice range, putting and chipping areas are nice. The course has great layouts with trouble and lots of risk reward situations. Maintainance is excellent. Very heavy secondary rough and water that can cost you strokes. Greens can be tough with major undulations that force you to hit a specific section of the green or bring 3 putting into play but the greens are also perfect. They roll very very true and fast. If you miss it's because you hit a bad putt or had a bad read. The price point of 40 to 60 dollars is reasonable for what this course offers. I think I like it even more than Legends and would give Grand Niagara a run too. Definitely a better value for money. Pace of play was good. After the round, had a large draft and dinner for 20 bucks including the tip. Food was also good and the clubhouse is really nice too. It's hard to get over there sometimes and you have to deal with the boarder, but well worth it. If you haven't played this course put it on your list. The best one I've played in WNY.
One of the better courses in the area
Good golf course. Went alone during off peak. Pace of play was great but there was hardly anyone there when I went. I would go back.
Worth the ride
Outstanding course and condition tee box for all handicap
Best course in Western New York
The tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens are in outstanding condition. It was a cool fall day but this is a very challenging course in any weather conditions. The water and bunkers are all strategically placed for every level of player. The staff is extremely friendly. As a matter of fact, I had a hole in one on #18 and the staff awarded me with a golf shirt prom the pro shop. Even if I didn't get the ace I would still rate this course as the best in WNY.
Windy but nice
Wind helped on some holes and it certainly made a mess of the geeens with falling leaves need a leaf blower in my bag next time.
great course
well maintained course, would highly recommend. fun to play and still challenging
great course
Great course and great value. Almost as pristine as a private course.
nice links course
I have played this course a few times with my foursome, they enjoy the course as well, so this time I took a neighbor who also liked the course and can't wait to play again.
Rock hard greens
The greens have dried out and some greens were as hard as concrete. The 7th hole fairway by the 150 yard stake has a sprinkler head that says 185, it's 5 yards in front of the big 150 yard stake, it makes no sense. The greens only held if you hit it into an upslope. On the last hole I hit a high pitching wedge to the center of the green and it bounced 20 feet in the air and went into the back bunker, they've clearly stopped watering most of the greens.
Shoes
Awesome course, we'll kept. Fast greens, course knowledge is an advantage.
Great Course
Beautiful and tough course and only had 2 issues with it. Firstly we had a 3:50 tee time but we couldn't get off on time because "we had a real big tournament earlier today" That's an unnacceptable excuse, they shouldn't have offered a 3:50 tee off if they knew they had a full field shotgun tournament earlier that day. Because of the late tee off, we had to rush through our last few holes to beat the darkness, which was irritating and no fun.
Secondly, we did not see the Beverage cart once the whole time we played and it was a hot afternoon and a cold drink would have been perfect.
Pricey
Nice course. I'm glad we played it, but it won't be on our regular rotation because it's not worth $70 a round. They have no ranger leading to slow play. There is no half way house. You half to go inside the clubhouse to get a hotdog at the turn. You can play equally nice courses in WNY for $50.
Hickory Stick
The greens are large and firm. Very good condition.
Fairways and tee boxes in very good condition. Lots of roll, fairway and greens.
Great course
The course was in great shape not to busy and all the amenities are included.
Would definitely play again
Very Nice
Excellent! Had carts and handlers at the vehicle before we where even out of the truck. Not sure if they thought we where with the tournament. Even though a sot gun tourney was going on we where accommodated without a hitch. Played this course before and always had an enjoyable experience
excellent conditions, great staff
The course offers a complementary driving range before your round, the staff is very friendly. The course itself is amazing. Long par 5s, fast greens, and well maintained second cut.
Great course
Greens excellent condition...difficult to hold a touch hard...favours those with high shots....challenging but fair...will organize golf tournament at HS..
