The par-3 fourth hole plays over water. Photo submitted by JasonDeeganGA on 12/20/2013
Great course
Great course !
Beautiful fast undulating greens.
Fairways just starting to green up but still had good lies. Traps need help, but luckily only had to play out of 2 of them.
Had lunch after the round. Food was good but took a while to get it.
We’ll definitely be back.
Great Course
Great course. Greens are wonderful. Mildly sanded recently, couldn’t tell if punched recently but still rolled nice. Fairways and tee boxes good all but one tee box. Played the tips, one hole was missing markers I believe it was hole 11. Pace of play was very slow because of cart path only. Idk if it was so wet you couldn’t drive on it, just be smart to avoid really wet areas but I understand most golfers don’t abide by rules so hard to assume most will. I’d play this course a lot more when/if given the opportunity.
Worth the drive
Very pleased, will play there again. After driving almost an hour and having second thoughts while driving, I enjoyed the round. Nice course.
Good value
Pace of play was excellent, 3:45. The greens are in great shape but slow.
Must play
The course is in nice shape. Pace of play was great, 3 3/4 hrs. The greens are in good shape but are slow.
The worst experience on a golf course
We were stuck behind many foursomes on a day of cart path only, which is to be expected on a Saturday. I was paired with two other folks from out of town, one of which was a beginner. We were waiting on tee shots, but nothing crazy for the first two holes. I noticed on the second, which is a par 5 with a blind first shot, that the group behind us hit into us while I was waiting because I can reach in two but they can see our carts. Long story short this happens for two of the next three holes, the only one they didn’t hit into us was a par 3 but they barely let us get in our carts before hitting. They were not abiding by the cart path only rule, and didn’t hit it that far so I was thinking maybe they think this is normal behavior. I get aggravated because I honestly don’t think they are finishing the hole, but are just trying to play through despite the fact they have nowhere to go and we are keeping pace with the group in front of us. Finally on hole eight they almost hit me with a drive and barely miss our carts on the cart path, I get aggravated and tell them I can’t do anything about the pace of play and to stop hitting into us. One of them basically says I didn’t hit you so what’s the problem, on the next hole an argument happens in which one of them, who is in the army and so am I ,tries to pull rank on one person in my group who is a civilian, they don’t apologize at all and act like we should shut up and take their abuse. After several minutes and yelling on the golf course I tell them I’m calling the clubhouse then they try to apologize. I said I’m going to talk to them anyway. I talk to the clubhouse and they say they are going to talk to them, I said they should be kicked from the course. They are given a warning. Afterwards the new golfer in our group forgets a wedge and they pick it up and then lie about it after being asked until the 18th hole at which time they return it to me, not the owner of the wedge and then basically try to instigate a fist fight. These people should NEVER be allowed on a golf course and the fact this place allowed them to stay says a lot about what clientele they want at their golf course. I will never be back, I was angry and ashamed by the way these people acted and the lack of care the staff gave the situation. Completely unacceptable!
