Spring Golf! Photo submitted by Sshipper on 03/09/2022
Good North Myrtle Choice
Have played Brunswick Plantation several times this year and has been in good shape, but it is starting to show some burnout with dry weather on greens and some other areas. Still a good value compared to some of the other choices in the area. Front side moved around well (less than 2 hrs), but we got behind a large group of members on the back and waited on every shot on the back.
Everyone very nice in clubhouse.
Good Bargain
Greens were good but a bit slow. Fairways and tees need to fill in in spots , but overall good condition. Front nine was very slow at almost 2.5 hrs but something happened on the back to speed things up and we finished in just over 4hrs. Good layout, with a mix of different length holes and just enough water to keep you on your toes.
Nice course for a vacation round
Good condition overall. Tough for me to get used the Bermuda greens! Enjoyable break though.
Fun and open course.
Staff was very pleasant. Starters to bartenders! Would play again.
Course was in good shape and open landing area. Great for our under 18 players to get out and have fun.
Nice Course
The fairways and greens are in pretty decent shape despite the recent dry spell. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend give this course a try!
Course somewhat burned out due to lack of rain. Very true and fast greens. Recommend playing a round here.
Great Course when you are in Myrtle Beach
Course was in great shape. Pace was great. Having three sets of nine should be a standard everywhere! (I know - I’m dreaming!)
Really a good time.
Great Course in Myrtle Beach
This is a great layout made even better by three nine hole courses to make pace of play whiz by. Rarely had to wait for anyone and no one had to wait for us! Fairways were great. Hazards were fair. Terrific greens.
Come play this course - you won’t regret it!
Nice Course!
Nice course with some challenging holes.
It was an enjoyable day!!
Dry
Fairways and tee boxes grass browning out like late summer so very dry and ball rolling out much more than expected. Found water off the tee twice from good shots going much farther than normal. Be warned. Waited a good bit on front behind several groups of ladies. 2nd nine was fine. No place to park when I arrived place was very busy
Nice course
Course us un great shape. They have 3 nines and did a good job with controlling back ups. Friendly and accommodating staff. Unfortunately, kitchen closes at 3P.
Nice course, will go back
Layout was nice, has been dry in the area so fairways were dried out. Starter was not too friendly, pro shop guy was top notch. Lots of houses on the course. Hit it straight.
Check the Scorecard/Tee Markers Before Teeing Off
The place was busy at the bag drop/starter's area. Many members were also playing that day as many greeted each other (so much so that it was a little annoying as they tended to be a little loud). The busy-ness prevented clubs from getting loaded onto the carts until close to tee time.
There was a practice driving area - but balls weren't made available with our greens fees.
There's a lot of water on the course - much to the sides of the fairways and the forced carries tend to be small creeks or ponds. You definitely want to look on the scorecard and tee markers before teeing off on each hole to be aware of where the water is.
The course was dry - the fairways and green were green and OK - but the dryness tended to make shots go a little to far if you were trying to lay up short of trouble areas or get a ball into play.
