Reviews
Nice layout, tough greens
First round of the year, and I just about ran out of balls. Knowing the layout would have been helpful, but the greens were very large, fast, and undulating, with some mean pin placements.
Enjoyed it
Enjoyed it, since I came here in September last year I play Brunswick I have a dozen or more times I enjoyed every time it has a nice layout but the greens are a little fast
Magnolia at Brunswick
Starter was pleasant and got us off early with no one ahead of us. Course was in good shape.
Greens were full of crows feet sprigs of grass so you could not get a true roll when putting.
Brunswick let down
Upon check in were helped by a rather uninterested gentlemen in the pro shop. He barely said anything to us as he gave us our starters ticket. We then stood around for quite awhile at the bag stand waiting for our clubs to be loaded only to learn that our names were not on the tee sheet. They proceeded to finally send us out as a twosome. The course conditions were awful even though the winter has been very mild here. The pace of play was 4.5 hours and we never saw a ranger. With all of the choices in The Grand Strand area I would highly recommend not playing at Brunswick.
Beautiful Day
We only played 9 holes---Dogwood ---had a great time----good layout with some nice holes---greens very soft with some winter kill but surprisingly putted quite fast and true. Very nice place with nice staff.
Beautiful community
The course was very nice. Not too long, but quick tricky greens, so accuracy of approach shots are very important. Staff was excellent and clubhouse is spectacular. I would definitely play again.
Really fast greens
Been in Myrtle Beach area for two weeks and greens were quicker than anywhere. Fairways were rolling well but we're somewhat thin. Paired up with a local and played in 3 hr and 30 minutes.
nice course
course is very nice layout. conditions were a little wet so it was cart path only. For winter golf course was in very nice shape. greens smooth an receptive. fairways
Enjoyable round
I was paired up with a couple who were members, very nice people. They were helpful as it was my first time playing here. I would go back and play again.
First timer
Course was a bit wet, but certainly playable. Greens were true and fairly quick for winter golf.
Brunswick review
Nice course. Would like to play again - if back in the area.
Pleasant afternoon at Brunswick Plantation
We played Azalea and Magnolia. The course was in great shape considering the dry conditions prevailing in the area. Fairways are generous and the greens fast. A few minutes on the putting green are certainly worthwhile. Overall, an excellent value for money. We'll be back.
Great Course
Interesting course and fun to play. Very picturesque! Enjoyed our round.
Great experience
Very nice course in good condition. Pace of play was surprising good.
Fun Layout
First time at Brunswick Plantation. The course was a little soggy from recent rains but was playable. The greens are on the small side, roll true but have a fair amount of grain in them. Some of the holes are tree lined and tight....others pretty open. A couple of great short par 4's that will tempt you....not a good decision! Sand traps were ok....a bit inconsistent in depth of sand. Fun course and I will play again.
wet, wet, and more wet
it's hard to review a course after so much rain. it was cart paths only, it had poured the day's before. the group in front of us after giving them an entire hole head start held us up on the second hole. a couple of holes later the cart girl came along and she called the ranger and with-in 10 minutes the ranger was there and told the group to let us thru and then pick it up. standing on the 16green we could see the group 5 holes behind us. it took our group under 4 house to play, it must have taken them almost 6 hours.
Great Golf Courses
This community has three 9-hole courses. The golf course was in great shape and the holes are challenging for the average golfer. I had no problems at all with the staff, but others have told me differently. The fairways are nice and the greens are fast. Your ball must carry to the green because of the soft fringe. Overall. I love it.
