Spring Golf! Photo submitted by Sshipper on 03/09/2022
Outstanding Course
Great conditions, good course layout, a little slow.
Ladies day
Nice course but would have liked to know over 10 foursomes of women where playing a tournament that day because the pace of play was terribly slow
Always Worth It
I have played here 5-6 times & the course is always a solid 4/5 all around. Pace of play is like most public courses in M.Beach area that want 8 minute tee times on packed courses in 110° ht index days; frustrating on 4 1/2 hr+ rounds. My only complaint, on a extremely hot day was I never saw a beverage cart on the course from 10:00 am-2:45 pm: ever! Thank goodness for water fountains at restrooms and a bottle of Gatorade I bought pre-round.
The 3-9's are fun, challenging and the greens hold speed & conditions well with our heat.
Well worth the GolfPass pricing for the track(s) and the staff is fairly accommodating to get you moving. It is a popular place in mornings!
Customer service was superb and pro shop staff was very friendly. The only low point was direction to club house once you go through the guard gate. Being a guest from another state and first time playing the course needed better guidance to find the club house.
Like that the course ranger kept the pace of play going for all groups.
Excellent Condition
Both greens and fairways in excellent condition. Average layout. Good value.
Excellent Value
Brunswick Plantation is one of the best values in the Grand Strand area. It’s not the nicest course in the area, but for the price you pay, you can’t beat it. What you get for what you pay is outstanding. I paid $45 on a Friday morning. Had the first tee time of the day. The course is in good shape. Fairways were great. Tees were great expect 9 on Magnolia had some bare spots on it. Greens were good and smooth. But slow in my opinion. Bunkers were inconsistent and rough was really thick. All in all in good shape. Especially for $45. I played the Azalea/Magnolia combination. Azalea was rather open and forgiving. Magnolia much tighter, more doglegs, a real shot makers 9 and a tough test. I highly recommend it when in the area.
LONG
SEVERAL OF THE HOLES WERE LONG FROM YELLOWS, BUT OVERALL AWESOME CONDITION
Great course
The course is in great shape. It is challenging but all golfers, regardless of ability, can play at this course.
Highly recommend.
Great spring day for golf
Course was in very good shape. Greens were smoothe and quick. Fairways were good and tee boxes too. Look forward to playing again.
